Unfortunately, after about 30 minutes of play, the audio out died on my unit. After extensive troubleshooting, and significant time with Amazon tech support, I am stuck with this $130 boat anchor. I bought this, and let it sit in an unopened box for too long, and now I can't return it. It appears I can't get support, nor a refund or replacement.
If you have problems after a month or so after your purchase, don't expect help.
I was happy with the product, but not with the support.
I will update my review if I receive any further update from Amazon or the manufacturer.
The interface isn't all that user friendly and you need to connect it to a computer to be able to tweak all of the settings, hence knocking my review down a star, but once set up you're good to go. It has a wonderful selection of presets and I really don't connect it to the compute very much.
It has a plastic case that makes it feel just a little cheap but so far it has survived a couple drops onto wood flooring and it didn't break. The jack to plug in another audio source like an MP3 player so you can jam to an album is just a GREAT feature in my opinion as before this I had to use a mixer with my old POD.
It does eat batteries, but they have guidelines on which effects eat the most juice.
Overall a great product.
One warning (recommendation) that I would make is to get an AC adapter. This thing chews through batteries. It takes 4 AA's. I got about 5 hours out of it before the batteries died. The AC adapter from one of my Boss pedals is totally compatible (9v - 200ma - negative center - positive outer). There is no on/off switch. When you plug in your guitar cord, it turns on.
I can't say enough good things about it.
The Pocket Pod does not sound as good as the helix, but it fits in my guitar bag and runs off batteries. I bring my guitar and a book sized iLoud speaker, and my friend (with a battery powered keyboard rig) and I can gig at the beach and attract an audience. Fun, but also sometimes that strategy filled a hall for our real band. I doubt I would record an album with the pocket pod, (although I could), but I own two of them and until Line6 ports the helix tones to a battery powered portable device, I will buy another one every time sand or rain or salt or random abuse kills them.
Trust me and spend a while going through the patches, picking your favorite six and copying them into the first few patches. Do that and I would expect you to be pretty happy with this tool. I like my Helix better, but I would not be ashamed to play to a large live audience with my favorite six patches from this device.
FYI, the best tiny little battery powered speaker that is flat enough to make my guitar sound OK is https://smile.amazon.com/IK-Multimedia-Portable-Personal-Speaker/dp/B00BIPL8Z2/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=iloud&qid=1598983197&sr=8-2 It is not super loud, (probably maxes out before rocking 25 people.... maybe good for gentle ambience to as many as 50) ....but within it's limits, it sounds nice.
If I need more power, I use https://smile.amazon.com/4-Channel-50-Watt-Battery-Powered-Amplifier/dp/B00JMU1RAG/ref=psdc_11968291_t1_B000W22JG4 ...which is actually pretty amazing, but I like the sound of the pocket pod direct, better than it's built in amp stuff... (but maybe that is because I like to change between a bunch of different sounds.)
MANY branded and non-branded power supplies emit noise heard as low-level hum, buzz, and static. The Boss GT shipped with a PSA-120S2 which are $30 but run dead silent. I chucked my cheesy thin-line switching adapters and now only get the Boss PSA's. Yeah, they're that good.

Given that the battery life is a couple of hours and they don't ship a power unit in the box, 90 quid for this, when I could have bought a mini amp from Boss or Fender with a couple of preset models and a headphone jack, means this really isn't a very good deal any more.
If I still had the box I'd have sent it back. [Edit: found the box, sent it back]
