Shawn Pischlar and Ian White don't know what's coming to them in the form of love and happily ever after, but in a book filled with drama, angst and romance, they will find their way. No, it won't be simple and saying I love you is the least of their worries. When you have lived a life of doubt and freedom, sometimes it takes being let go to know you can be free with someone else. As with life, it's not always 'easy' and sometimes they'll have to take the road less traveled but in the end, they will end up right where they need to be, at the beginning of a fantastic new adventure. This book should be read in order with the other 7 amazing Cobra books. Trust me. You will want to know all the other characters when you get to Pisch. Pisch and White will demand your attention once you get to Line Brawl. Perhaps it's the romantic in me, but I found seeing a person who feels keeping his life easy and free was the ultimate way to live, until he found even more freedom with the ones he loved. Grab your copy of Line Brawl and get to reading!
The author has written a story that will have you going 'Ah...,''Aww...,''Hahaha...,''Oh my God...''Oh no!' In other words, she has you experiencing a whole range of emotions as you discover more about the players in the team. Every time I finish reading one of these books, I feel like I am leaving my friends until the next book comes out.
I love how even though the book is about one particular relationship, you hear about and see all the previous books' relationships still developing. You really get the feeling that the members of this hockey team are not only friends, but they also consider each other as family and enjoy spending time with each other outside of the game.
I know the author has only just finished this book, but I hope she gets started on the next one in the series fairly soon. I miss my Cobras already!
We get updates on the characters from past books, so that makes this book even better. Due to that, I believe this book is better read in order with the series. You also get glimpses into Pisch's and White's personalities in the prior books. I do not want to give spoilers so I will leave off with FANTASTIC book.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.
Maybe it's because I've known women like Sam in my life. Maybe it's because I've seen the damage they cause to men. I hate this character. I hate the words wasted on this character. I hope we never see her again and she is too stupid to figure out how to get back to Dartmouth after Ian dropped her ass.
And that is it...isn't it? The wrongness of Ian and Sam...it felt like acid. I have to give Bianca credit...because she did a damned fine job of creating this reaction. It's what makes this book so amazing. So incredible.
We all knew there was more to Pisch than we'd seen in the past. Who know it would take innocence...in Ian and Justina...to make him change the rules. Justina, for being 19, truly came into her own. I liked her. Truly liked her for her playfulness - despite her body image issues. How she connected with Ian made this triad so beautiful! I was saddened by Pisch's past...and when it came back to haunt him it was so real and so raw. Another haunting moment in the book.
We finally got Landon, Richter, and Silver's wedding...and I've finally taken Silver off my "God I hate her" list. Not sure I'll ever take Sam off that list. I honestly hope she disappears...a plot hole that readers never want filled in. Lol
I want more Ian, Pisch, and Justina. Even Ladd and Hunt. Basically, I want more Cobras. :) Well played Bianca Somerland. Well played.
