I wasn’t expecting the suspense, mystery, thriller being an aspect of this story --- now that I think about it, I guess that aligns better with the title. Had I known these themes were a big part of this book, I would not have requested to receive this ARC.
Yet, as fate would have it, I dove right in and just kept reading. I was captivated, intrigued, and I wanted to know the “why” of many things. Wonderful authors do that. This book had all the aspects of a sizzling romance that I crave – longing, desire, love… just to name a few—there was so, so much more. Not only was my romantic side immensely indulged, KB Winters stirred my inquisitive mind, too.
Which leads me to purchase this book to get my hands on the included bonus book. Gotta get my hands on more KB Winters goodness!!!
The main female character Emma could hardly function as an adult , she couldn’t move past her teenage romance and the whole story was just one big pity party from all the characters.
I actually would have been pissed if I paid for this book. I gave it two stars only because it was well written.
