This is a wonderfully written new adult and rockstar (or musician) romance! The dynamics between the two main characters is spot on and realistic. They deal with real life issues making the story come to life. The insta-attraction between the two is swoon worthy. Readers can only hope (or be happy to have) this kind of love in their lives. This story does have some angst, but it adds to the plot of the story making it a well-rounded and sweet read. I truly enjoyed this one and will certainly be looking for more novels by the author in the future.

It should be mentioned that the relationship between both characters is beautiful. I mean, seriously beautiful. Maybe it’s because they are both so real to us readers, or maybe it’s the wonderful writing style. Either way, the author brings about some amazing characters that are sure to pull you into the story. With this being said, I absolutely LOVED Charlie. He is different than the bad boys of new adult romances that I am used to. Instead, he is a simpler character with a lot of heart and soul. Anna is also very loveable as she is quite feisty. I love when we get a heroine who has some sass to her and this is descriptive of Anna!

Overall, this is a wonderful novel- one that all fans of romance and new adult romances should pick up. I was lucky enough to get a copy of this book via the author for an honest review, and am so thankful I did! Pick. This. One. Up!

This is an unusual love story set in London. Charlie is a musician who despite his privileged background craves a simpler life, filled with music, which he funds working in a music shop and busking outside a London Underground station. Country girl Anna works in London, living the dream; except she doesn’t like her job or her bitchy colleagues and is fed up of being constantly set up by her flatmate with materialistic arrogant men.
Charlie’s attraction to Anna is instant and powerful and he tries to charm her with his music. Anna doesn’t notice him at first until he plays a song that captures her heart and evokes loving memories of her childhood. Charlie and Anna are opposite in background, family and aspirations but they form an unlikely bond. Seen through Anna and Charlie’s eyes we experience their emotional highs and lows as they try to discover their happy ever after.
For me Anna and Charlie are difficult to warm to. However they are realistic characters and reflect twenty-first century relationships. The setting is vibrant and contrasts with the introspective nature of the story, which is full of angst.
If you like your romance totally focused on the hero and heroine and a little quirky, this story should appeal to you.
I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

This debut novel is a sweet and realistic look at young love. It has everything you expect see in real life situations: the anticipation of the first kiss, the spark of passion that draws to people together, the comradery and friendship of a new relationship. There are many ups and downs in this book that are viewed through a lenses of authenticity, giving the reader a story that sounds like one you would hear from a friend while sharing tales of love and loss. Lines We Forget features two very real and flawed characters, two people who have high hopes and expectations for what they want from life. Charlie and Anna meet by chance and fate intervenes. These two are struggling in their separate realities and a spark between them gives hope to situations that are at times frustrating and disheartening. When you read their story, you cannot help but be caught up in their adventures. Friendship and instant attraction deepens into love. These two come from different backgrounds but together they create a reality that is sweet, brimming with hope for the future and a safe place from the harsh moments of life.

One thing that makes this book a great contemporary romance is that it is real. Anna and Charlie fight and they make up. They jump to conclusions, creating drama and angst. They must learn to trust one another and support each other. These two become a couple you root for. You watch their relationship develop over years and it is a slow burn. The story and relationship flows so very well. There is not a HUGE life altering and life shattering moment that destroys everything and an over the top reconciliation. Instead, it is a gritty reality of what life is like.

The writing is good in this book, giving the reader access to both Anna and Charlies thoughts.

Lines We Forget is a sweet love story between Charlie and Anna and in many ways, it's a realistic romance. There are no over-the-top shenanigans that split the couple apart, but a few misunderstandings here and there that only grow bigger from a lack of communication. It seemed just to move from one point to the next, slow and steady although I wished that the characters would jolt out of their heads and start doing things and not just think them all out.

This is a nice simple love story set in England. There isn’t anything sensationally dramatic. Boy sees girl and is intrigued. Girl likes boy. They date. They break apart because of challenging life event and a bit of immaturity. They reunite.

What makes this book special is its authenticity. The characters are young and struggling to make money. Unlike too many romance novels that are centered around billionaires. The characters are flawed with uncertainty. Many romance novels assume that once the couple falls for one another that it is a 100% done deal. Finally, the dialog is categorically English, which not only amuses me as an American but sets the tone well.

Most of all, being serenaded in the street is the epitome of romantic.
