Its dangerous to go alone, take this!

Looks really great. It has more detail than I thought, really a nice figure especially for the price. I bought it mainly because it looked cool and I am not dissapointed. As for its functionality with the WiiU, all the amiibos work very well, they do what they are designed to do. They more you use them the more they learn. Who wouldn't want Link as a sparring partner? Definitely recommend.

Really, really nice figure! Nintendo has done a really nice job on the execution of these Amiibos, from the pose design and sculpt to the painting work, and the packaging is GREAT.

Sadly, you'll have to destroy the packaging to remove the figures, and you'll absolutely have to remove the figures to use them. Nintendo placed a signal blocker under the base of the figures in the blister, so that you can't use them still inside their boxes, unlike Skylanders and Disney Infinity.

Compared with other similarly sized figures, these are a good value. The quality is better than most, and the Amiibo functionality is really essentially free (or very low cost). At the moment, Amiibo functionality is somewhat limited, unlocking cosmetics and minimal content, and not really offering any new gameplay options. If these figures are a success, it's quite believable that Nintendo will expand their capabilities.

Nintendo seems aimed at releasing Amiibos for every character appearing in the new Wii U Smash Bros, so you'll have plenty of characters to choose from. If you're a collector, you'll probably want to preorder them, as some seem to be rarer than others, and there's no clear communication yet as to whether Nintendo will replenish stock of sold out characters, or just continue to make new characters. Oh, and there's plenty of potential for reposes and new versions of existing Amiibos. The world needs colorful Yoshi options, and powered up Marios, and rad Samus variants. Right?

In conclusion, if you're a long time Nintendo fan, the Amiibo figures really are about the best collectibles on the market. Nicely built, nicely painted, and functional.

This beautiful Amiibo adds the legendary Epona horse into the Zelda Breath of the Wild (BOTW) Nintendo Switch game. All Stats on Epona are at 4 stars, with gentle temperament. Can't change the saddle or bridle on this horse, unlike other horses in the game (so unable to use the ancient saddle which summons the horse at any time in any place). Nevertheless this is a horse that is worth having in the game, simply for its great beauty and reputation, as well as pretty good stats. If you do get separated from your horse simply fast travel to any stable and pick it up there.

When using the Amiibo for the first time, make sure you are at (or close) to a stable. Epona horse will spawn at once when the Amiibo is first used (hold the Amiibo close to the Switch's right control button). Take Epona to the stable and register the horse immediately, so now you own her in the game permanently. After this initial spawn you can use the Amiibo daily and it offers a variety of treasures, including food and one treasure chest, which contains ammo or rare twilight armor. This armor can be upgraded at the Great Fairy sites hidden around Hyrule. Pretty awesome!

Nintendo has really got something special with these Amiibo figures if you ask me. As a collectible this thing looks stunning, and the paint detail is very nice. As far as what it can do in games, it brings a lot to that table as well!

Wish Super Smash Bros for Wii U this Amiibo can be used in game for you to train (you can't control the Amiibo). You can use your Amiibo to help you in team battles and customize it's move set. Your Amiibo will also help you gather materials while it battles. What we do with our Amiibo figures is this: My son is on a team with his Mario Amiibo Vs My wife with her Peach Amiibo Vs Me with my Link Amiibo. We have had a blast playing those 6 person team battles and the Amiibo figures can be a big thanks to that.

Mario Kart 8, this Link Amiibo will unlock a Link costume for your Mii to race in.

Hyrule Warriors, this Link Amiibo will unlock a new weapon for Link (November 27th) in the game.

So for the price lets say $12.99, you get a nice collectible + a lot of fun multi game, in game content. I think it is well worth the price.

I got this Amiibo used. The packaging was the definition of frustrating, but I definitely understand. Between the sword and the hat, this little thing is beyond delicate. I'd heard others say they tried again and again, day after day to get Epona with this thing used. I put it on my controller and BAM, first try, got Epona. Next shot was the tunic, then the next day was the hat. I have yet to get any more, but getting those three in the first three days was pretty impressive.

If you just got this game, this is the Amiibo to get. Epona alone is worth the price, as she is the absolute best horse in the game, and you will not be disappointed once you get her. I'm not even very far in Breath of the Wild, but I am very glad I grabbed this thing. Aside from the random higher-end food drops you get, the chest gives you some pretty good stuff even if it's not the armor set. It's expensive, but well worth it.
