In exploring why, three things became evident. First, I was drawn to many of the books on my shelf because of the author or title. Second, I did not take the necessary time to evaluate whether my identified need was addressed by the purpose of the book or in the content developed for the author's "target audience". Not only does Melonie explain the various features and functions very well, one of her case studies was a "Eureka" moment for me. For the past couple of years, I have tried in vain to use LinkedIn for sales. Just never clicked. Many variations on a theme later, I'm reading her case study 4 and it hits me why none of the previous attempts were successful!
I have rewritten my latest attempt using Melonie's ideas and think that it may work now!
Her Lead Gen checklist and the ideas in the last 3 or 4 on using LinkedIn in a structured way to generate leads are also gold!
