Many of the principles that are put forth in this book, also apply and/or are derived from consultative selling techniques to where you do not sell, you have a conversation that leads into a sale (or the sales happens on it's own). Or better yet, you chat/consult with and educate enough with LinkedIn's to where they make the purchase (be it a product or service of your's) on their own without having to be pitched/sold on it...the buyer comes to you ready to buy.
This book also helps to figure out what things in LinkedIn profiles that need changing/editing to be more effective at not only connecting with more LinkedIn's but also ultimately getting more out of those connections than just connections. It is ultimately about making meaningful connections that last, that can lead to jobs/work/pay of some sort.
Because 98% of us get it wrong with LinkedIn, by reading this book and applying the knowledge gained in this book, you become part of the 2% that finally get LinkedIn completely, to some extent becoming a "Master of LinkedIn".
WHAT I DO: I recently purchased LinkedIn Riches and use it as my business plan to increase my presence on LinkedIn. I stopped after Section 1 to work on my LinkedIn profile, while it is a work in progress, it has given me a clear and precise understanding of how I should represent myself on LinkedIn.

John Nemo, has completely changed the way I look at LinkedIn, and he has opened my eyes to just how powerful it can be when used correctly.
All the tips and instructions in the book are clearly explained, and backed up with intelligent rationale for why things should be done a certain way. Prior to reading this book, I had no concept of just how wrong my profile was, and now equiped with more knowledge, and the benefit of hindsight, I can now see why my profile would never have worked for attracting prospective clients.
The ideas and concepts discussed, are really quite simple, and somewhat obvious when you read them, but so many of us fail to implement these strategies on our own, well at least that's been the case for me.
I absolutely loved this book, because I got so much out of it. Armed with the knowledge gained from reading John's book, I felt a real sense of confidence in what I could now do with LinkedIn, and I could now clearly see how the strategies will help me achieve what I have set out to do.
Without actually saying it, the author makes the assumption that you already have a LinkedIn account, and are familiar with the basic workings of it. This is not a "LinkedIn for Beginners" book. Regardless of your knowledge, or experience on LinkedIn, I firmly believe that you will pick up some gems in this book, and you will definitely rethink how much you are leveraging the power of this platform.
I unreservedly recommend this book to anyone who is serious about utilising LinkedIn to further your business development, and to attract the exact clients you are targeting. Read the book, and you will never look at Linkedin the same way again.
