Top customer reviews
There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
I was desperate for something to remove lint from my clothes because I recently purchased a portable washer/dryer which creates massive amounts of lint in the washer tub. I’m talking massive amounts to the point where no lint brush would do the job alone.
I purchased two bags of these because I needed something I could use in the washer, not the dryer. Seems like everything else out there was for the dryer.
Here’s what I discovered;
Just two or three are completely useless for portable washers.
These are more effective when using the entire bag ALONG with 3 or 4 floating lint traps! Don’t be fooled into thinking one or two of these balls will take care of the job. I personally suspect these 5 star reviews are all fake. (Just my honest opinion)
In conjunction with the floating lint traps, they helped push the lint into the lint nets. Many of the balls were even trapped in the floating lint nets. But where they were most effective, were with towels. I was surprised when I saw 2 lint balls covered in lint goop after washing my towels.......So here I am doing my review and noticed something I didn’t notice when I ordered. The thumbnail picture is with TOWELS ONLY and not clothes!! Hence my comment about deceptive marketing.
Though I am thankful to find something to help solve my lint dilemma, I also want honest marketing. I am a longtime Amazon customer who depends on reviews for products just like everyone else. I can also appreciate an honest seller who puts a disclaimer in their product description. This seller should have put the following disclaimer in the product review “More effective with towels” “May have to use in conjunction with other lint removers if washing something other than towels”. In the long run, honesty will be the thing that ensures a successful product not deception. When people are deceived, they will make noise and that will hurt your product!
Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase but those who may not have my specific circumstance may be quite deceived into thinking all you need are one or two of these little cuties and that’s simply not the case. I’ve posted some pictures for people to see how I use these.
One star deduction for not giving buyers the option to choose between the two different color schemes in your thumbnail (Green and Pink) or (Blue and White).
One star deduction for not letting consumers know the most effective way these should be used.
I have an all in one LG washer/dryer unit. My clothes come out covered in lint, nothing has helped so far. There is no "real" lint filter to clean. Some of the lint collects on the door seal and you need to wipe it down between loads (by design). I was willing to try just about anything.
My experience is that the balls actually do collect lint. They are good for grabbing long human hair and I can see the lint on them after each load. The 3 stars is due to the minimal difference they make and that it is time consuming to pull off the lint and hair from each ball before using them again. The instructions say just wash them off, but that did not work for me. In addition, they are really noisy. If you live in an apartment your neighbors might not appreciate the racket.
For the dryer use the larger rubber balls with the spikes. The help keep the clothes from tangling. NO, they are not perfect either, but a good aid.
