Chose this for my first real crochet project. It made a beautiful infinity scarf I will give my Mom for Christmas ~ I think she'll be thrilled. Loved working with it and the end project is perfect (well for me it's perfect). Will definitely buy again.

I love this yarn for scarves and hats for my son. It's a bit too thick for crocheting in my opinion. Unless you work an open stitch it would be very heavy, but in knit, it makes a thick warm scarf that's washable. Garter stitch using size 13 needles makes a dense, heavy fabric. The wool makes it warm enough for our cold Alaskan winters, and since it's a blend, it can be washed easily.
It works up super fast.
The yarn is smooth and even, the navy color is very dark. It doesn't look as shiny in real life as it looks in the photo.

Edit: 10-7-12 - Last night I used the wheat which is an off-white color with black and dark brown filaments and a size Q hook (Boye Crochet Dude Plastic Crochet Hook Set to make a kitty hat in under two hours. Just that fast, a few rounds, some ear flaps, great big pompoms and ears. It was my first time working with a hook that large and the chunky, huge stitches and speed will make it my new go-to for really fast, fun hats. So I take back what I said about crocheting. Using the recommended hook size, it it is too dense, but using the size Q worked great.

I fortuitously stumbled across this yarn via a pattern, which recommended it. Lucky, me! The pattern required two skeins, so I ordered those on December 11th, received them on the 13th, and worked up the cowl, the same day! Holy Smokes! I whipped it out in a couple of hours, with an M sized hook...the time it took to watch a film. It wasn't fiddly. I particularly love how soft it is; snugly-warm. After that first purchase, I was inspired to go into frenzied make-everyone-a-cowl-for-Christmas overdrive and ordered 12 additional skeins! I have Amazon Prime (free, two day shipping on Prime eligible colors), so each cowl cost under $20. I'm happy to say that I completed all the cowls with ample time to spare, including shipping, from the east to the west coast! Yippee! :-) (If you sent as many, "late-again" packages as I have, you'd understand my glee.) I thought this a nice gift for that price.

Because I had such a good experience making the cowls, I have since gone on to make a hat, two hooded cowls, and a pair of slippers calling for Wool-Ease Thick and Quick and still managed to get everything else done that one does in a day. Quick.

Fortunately, out of the 20 skeins I have worked with so far, I have not had the knotting problem another reviewer expressed. I'm so glad about that. After reading that review, I chanced it, to order this yarn anyway. I'm going to use this yarn for future projects. If I run into any problems, I'll try and give an update.

I'm leery of ordering items such as this, with color being so hard to determine accurately via my computer screen, but was happy with the ones I ordered: charcoal (my favorite), black, blossom, fisherman, pine, raspberry, and granite.

Nice color (Denim)! Quickly worked in to a beautiful sweater/jacket for my toddler grandson - free pattern on Lion Brand's website "Zip Back Hoodie". Adapted it for size 2. This yarn is more bulky than in the pattern. After some figuring and measuring, I changed all the line measurement numbers on my copied pattern. I was very satisfied with the results. HAD TO hand sew the zipper. My sewing machine was not up to the task.

I purchased this yarn to make a scarf (and learn how to knit). It's very forgiving and my mistakes aren't obvious. Everyone loves the color, and it looks very nice. The yarn is also soft. I will be purchasing more Wool-Ease Thick & Quick for different projects. The color is exactly like the picture. I was making a wide adult scarf, for that you definitely need two rolls.

Another plus is that this yarn is machine washable, so the scarf won't be a hassle to clean.

I initially ordered 11 skeins for a project, and then another 5 to finish it, so I've worked with quite a bit of this yarn. It works up quickly, but I've found the quality to be iffy. I expected a fairly consistent texture, but I've found it to be "slubby" in some places. Also I've encountered random and lengthy stretches of yarn with no variegation, retied ends in the middle of most skeins, and slubby/fuzzy spots that look like I made a mistake in my work. I'm making a very large blanket for a family member so these things will blend in discreetly, but I still notice them. This is my first time working with a super bulky (6) grade.

I uploaded some photos. While you can see slubby spots and retied ends in some photos, you'll also notice the beautiful variegation.

On a happy note, I purchased this through Amazon's add-on program, and the price was an incredible value.
