Great Needles for weaving in ends on crochet

I have been using plastic needles for weaving in the ends on my crochet and knitting projects. The problem is that the mold marks on the side of the needles keep catching on delicate yarns and pulling them.

I ran across these Lion Brand nickel-plated steel needles with big eyes and decided to give them a try. They work fantastic for me. The eyes are big enough to get my yarn through and then the needles themselves seem to glide through my finished projects as I weave the ends.

What is even better is that, with this set, you get two each of three different size needles. I can find the size needle that works best with my yarn and I can keep one set in my project work that I keep at home and I can keep the other set with my to-go bag. This works great for my needs.

I keep misplacing my needles (I know!) so I needed to order some more. This is a fantastic set of yarn needles. I make amigurumi (crocheted toys) and the large needle works really well for sewing pieces together and closing my work. The other day, I was sewing a button onto a piece and found that the middle sized needle fit perfectly in the button holes while still being able to use yarn instead of thread. I love it that it is easy to thread the needles and that they are firm enough to not bend as I'm working. Hopefully I can keep better track of these, but if they eventually go to the needle graveyard (probably in my couch) then I will certainly order these again.

After breaking 9 out of 10 of these needles : Tandy Leather Factory Stitching Needles, 10-Pack within a day or two (I was lacing leather and these needles were extremely brittle), I purchased a pack of these yarn needles. I assumed that they would break rapidly as I am working with heavy veg tan leather but thought, for the low cost, it was worth the risk just to finish the piece.

I am surprised and extremely happy with these needles. I am still on the first needle out of the pack (the smallest one) and not only have I completed the one project, but I am now on the third section. These needles are incredibly strong and durable and have proven to be unfazed by a set of pliers. Thank you, Lion Brand, for such a quality product!!!

I bought some cheap plastic darning needles and they just didnt work. They were too big and wouldn't slide through the fabric easily because of the plastic grabbing the yarn. These metal ones are great. The only thing that is difficult is getting the yarn to go through the eyelets. But that is fine once you get the hang of it
