UPDATE: This is the worst yarn you can buy. I wish I could give it less than one star. It bunched, frayed, separated and caused me nothing but problems. The last few stitches, even knitting without any tension at all, the yarn broke which made my project a piece of trash. I will never buy this brand of yarn again. I knit hats for the homeless in my area and they deserve better than this.
UPDATE #2: I contacted Lion Brand yarn with the same review as above. Their customer service is AWESOME. Debbie contacted me and offered me a replacement. I knit hats for the homeless and she helped me pick something that would give me the most bang for my buck. I probably won't buy this TYPE of yarn again but I will definitely buy Lion Brand!
It did get easier to figure out as I worked with it, but if you are a novice, look for something that doesn't have the kinks in it. If you are experienced, however, this does make a lovely finished product.
My 5 year old grandson loved his blanket so much that I had to make him another. He used his blanket everyday for comfort and naps.I made the first one when he when he was born.
The second one I made was when he was 3 years old and he took it to daycare for naps.
I made a third one out of the leftover Homespun yarn which he used in the car, it was made using different shades of blue with some apple red color. I made him a bigger blanket to fit his new bed after growing out of his youth bed. Also using left over Homespun yarn to make him a hat and mittens.
I got this yarn to make a blanket for his new baby brother. No doubt I will make more...
Wish Lionbrand would make more pastel shades for babies. The colors I used where not typical for babies.
