Classic book that everyone should read. Bought this for my fifth grade son. Enjoyed reading it with him, as it had been awhile since I read it.

The original of this story by C.S. Lewis is one of my all-time favorite books. My young son has been wanting to read that with me, but it’s a bit too advanced for him just now, so I searched for a children’s alternative. This version is excellent! I’m so happy with it! The story is basically an abridgment of the original, creating a slightly simpler read at a child-appropriate level; this story stays true to the plot, theme, and MESSAGE of the original book, which was very important to me. The illustrations are stunning!! My son and I have just started reading it together, and he loves it! We plan to keep it and enjoy it with others in our family for many years. Highly recommend!

I had no problems with the purchase. It is a little expensive, but I feel it was worth the price for a hardback book of good quality. The book arrived promptly, was packaged well and in good condition.

I read this after watching the movie for the first time at 23. I don’t know how I managed to miss this series as a kid, but I know I would have eaten it up then. I think I liked the movie a bit more, but this was still a very good read.
