So a laundry list of issues which were (more importantly) true of BOTH Pennsylvania Ltd. sets. Quality issues consistent of two sets. Even dealers and show vedors say many train sets (not just lionel) come broken right out of the box. Theyre frustrated as we should be. I'm gonna have to get lionel again because I'm baically married to several hundred dollars of Fast Trac (VERY GOOD STUFF FAST TRACK). Cant praise it enough. I worry that many of the steam engines I see are the same as the last two I've had but in a different dress. This worries me. Its the same engine. Will the same problems come with it?
So the good, lionel and its sales people and shops were great to me replaced the first train with little or no issues (esp. no warranty card), Fast Track is genius. This is an awsome looking train love it (Ihave all other cars), packaging was easy to get around and the product well protected.
The bad, (remember true of both sets), underpowered, no steam/smoke, oily residue in bag of locomotive, repeated attempts with service and dealers to fix both sets (just get it running), mostly plastic engine far to light to pull at low speeds.
Its a shame. From a product so attractivelly built and from Lionel, I expected better.
