So far this is my favorite form of oral vitamin c. I've tried other liposomal & lypo-spheric vitamin c from other companies with mixed to pour results, nothing that really made me want to keep taking it. Then my friend told me about this one. It is non GMO, has no alcohol, no soy, longer shelf life, etc. It's just a higher quality product. Oh, and it actually tastes fine. I'm not going to say it tastes good, but it's not bad, just plain fine. Anyone who has tried lipo c products from other companies will appreciate that bonus.
I wouldn't call this a miracle drug. This is simply the most effective way to deliver vitamin c to your body orally, and vitamin c can help make you well.
Edit/Update: I realized my comment on taste wasn't entirely accurate because I was mixing this and the Glutathione together. The Lipo C alone isn't good at all. BUT, I did just find out that Nutrient Tree has a new formula that tastes better, so I'm looking forward to getting that. I actually found the Glutathione to taste better than the Lipo Life C, which is strange because most people find GSH to taste horrible, but I'm hoping with the new formula, it will taste great combined. But honestly, I wouldn't stop taking it even if it tasted horrible. The benefits are too great. I mix it up in a little bit of water and just down it. Then follow with some fruit!
Recently I was shocked to find that Nutrient Tree has also raised its prices and is now only a few percent cheaper than Move-On.
So I decided to make liposomal vitamin C myself from sunflower lecithin and buffered sodium ascorbate which is also used by the commercial producers. The sodium ascorbate is essential, because the liposomal vitamin C goes directly into the blood from the stomach. If it contained the ordinary acidic vitamin C the blood might become more acidic. However, our body enforces the ph-value of the blood to be slightly alkaline. In order to accomplish this, it would take alkaline calcium from the bones to compensate for the acidity of the ordinary vitamin C. This is an effect wich we definitely do not want. Osteopenia or osteoporosis might be the consequence.
A word about the recipes of making "Lipo C" I found on the internet. In my opinion they are inefficient. The concentration of sodium vitamin C inside the little balls formed by the fatty acids of the lecithin should be as high as possible. This is not accomplished by the recipes.
Finally a philosophical thought. Linus Pauling, the great chemist, died 20 years ago. He knew only IV vitamin C. Had he known liposomal vitamin C, he would have jumped on it because it is so much more convenient than IV, he would have written about it and done more research. Today I make "Lipo C" in my kitchen. Isn't that progress?
