Lipper International provides exceptionally valued items for the kitchen, home, office, and child's playroom. Known for their functionality and beauty, each of our products is individually crafted from the finest quality materials. These unique bowls are made from bamboo wood that is perfect for any decor. Use them to hold fruit, serve salads, or just to decorate around your home. Hand wash with a mild soap and cool water. Do not soak. Do not put in the dishwasher, microwave or refrigerator. Extreme changes in temperature will cause the material to crack over time. Dry thoroughly. Occasional use of mineral oil on the inside will help maintain its appearance. Accessories in images are not included.

All of the reviews about the salad utensils being same-handed are true. I took off 1 star for their design flaw -- they look great, but they aren't very practical. The bowl itself is very large and has natural beauty. It's great for serving or using as a fruit bowl, etc. The bowl has a nice weight to it, so it is sturdy. For my purposes, a daily salad bowl, this product was a little too heavy. It also requires towel drying after washing and oil to keep the bowl from drying out, which is for maintenance than I wanted on a daily basis.

This is a great value for a bowl of this size and quality. It's perfect for mixing and serving salad for 4 to 8 people. I don't understand the criticisms of the serving utensils as being "same handed" or "facing the same direction". Each serving utensil has a convex and concave side. Put one in each hand and turn the concave sides so they face each other....duh!

I got this sucker for slightly cheaper than the going rate now. It's worth every penny. My motivation is it was made out of bamboo and I was looking for something that would continue to look smooth and sleek for a long time and less likely to crack and split like regular wood boards. This has been a godsend for my chopped salads. Saved me a ton of money from having to go to Subway every 2-3 days.
