Trying to stay healthy at 83, I put myself on a decaffeinated green tea regimen. I could not convince myself to like hot tea, so I steep 2 bags for 4 minutes in 15 ozs of water that has cooled about 15 seconds after boiling. (Immediate contact with boiling water tends to make green tea bitter.) I pour a small amount of honey that claims to be produced by local bees (for protection against some allergies) into a giant tumbler and pour the hot tea over that. I set the tumbler into a refrigerator to chill overnight, then add ice in the morning. I sip it and it is delicious, but disappears all too soon.
