This is a pretty cool chair mat. I like the uniqueness of it and I'm all about things that are different than the norm. I can't speak for the longevity of it at this point since I've only used it about a month but the top layer that encases the liquid feels pretty solid. I'm hoping it stays that way so it doesn't crack and spring a leak. The bottom is a kind of a mix between rubber and felt so it doesn't slip around on my hardwood floor. I'm not sure how it would be on carpet without those little spiky things that grip.

It's a little smaller than a standard chair mat and I was a little concerned that my chair might roll off the edges when I moved around but that hasn't been a problem at all, even when I scoot in under my desk or back out when I get up.

I've posted some photos and a video so you can see how the liquid looks when you roll around in your chair. I'll also keep this review updated regarding how it stands the test of time.

FOOTNOTE: The quality of the video is horrible. It was nice and clear prior to uploading. The picture were upside right when I uploaded them too. Shrug.

UPDATE: 8/10/21 Looks and functions like it did on day one. No leaks, cracks or dents. Love it.

The mat looks great and the kids love the liquid effect. However, the edges are very sharp and the corners have actually caused injury due to the sharp edges and points at the corners. These mats needs some type of guards placed around the outside. I was going to sand the top and bottom edges and round the corners, but am afraid to break the liquid seal. Not sure how to proceed since the kids want to keep it but keep hurting themselves...

I love this mat. It is very durable and the effect has a really cool look. I was concerned at first because I am a big guy and I thought that the mat would not work for me but it does. My chair rolls effortlessly and the mat has a thin cushion feel to me. I am going to check to see if the mat comes in larger sizes and/or different shapes.
