I was so frustrated I was using bottle rockets to scare the geese away when I saw them. However, I certainly couldn't stand guard all the time. We had so many geese on our lakeside lawn that I couldn't take a single step in the yard without stepping in their waste. I used the bottle rocket technique for several years until I discovered this product. What a godsend! But it takes a determined campaign to rid the property of geese even with this product. You cannot spray a couple times here and there and be rid of them.
First you should be using your grass clippings for mulch. Let them fall on the lawn as you mow. They upset the geese stomachs. They like grass clippings better than chewing it off. Would you take precut celery or prefer to cut it yourself, before each bite? The clippings are the reason the product works after you have mowed the grass.
Second you need to reapply about three times to keep the effectiveness.
Geese will come and will try repeatedly, but there is tastier stuff nearby. They learn that they don't like what you have to offer. Once their babies are older and foraging for themselves you must apply again, because although the parents won't return, the offspring are going to try your lawn.I wait 'til I see them show up. A few applications then and you are done for the season. If you see them around, just put on another application. Eventually there are far fewer geese trying out your lawn. You still must apply in the spring, because of new geese coming around. But oh what a difference -- I can now walk on my lawn without the mess.

The product seems to work well but to get rid of the geese, I am attacking them with this product along with fences and physically chasing them away when they come. unfortuntely - there is nothing that will magically make them go away. I called Liquid Fence - they said this chemical upsets the geese stomach and they learn over time that your grass is making them sick? You also have to put multiple applications down to make it effective - so it's not an instant stop. But it seems nothing is an instant stop for these geese. I just ordered more, they recommand putting an application down after each cut - and leave the grass clippings - The geese will eat them first.

After two week, the geese came back and grazed my lawn. They don't seem to find anything wrong in taste despite the application. Maybe all the grass blade treated with the Liquid Fence was grown and cut in two weeks. I am going to sow Northen Sea Oats seeds to build natural barrier to water to deter the geese.

First of all, the product smells like something fermented with a hint of hot spice. It took 2 days for me to say the smell is gone in my lawn. The smell from hose and the shoes lasts 5 days. Due to the smell, you may need to notify your neighbor before you spray this.

This product does not chase away the geese instantly. After 5 day from application, They still roam my yard, albait at less numbers. I hope the number will continue to decrease as they learn the grass is not tasty any more.

I used all of the one quart hose end spray bottle to treat 20'X150' area.

I have been using this for several years to repel geese from my yard in a development of houses on the edge of a pond, a favorite spot for roving flights of the pesky birds. The first time I used it a few years ago I figured I'd need to reapply it a few times during the summer. Never got around to it but I found that the geese stayed away all season. They had lots of other lawns nearby to plunder and and "poopulate" which might be a factor. Since then I buy a 1-quart hose end bottle and spray it around early in the season. Usually by then they have been invading my yard so I notice the difference pretty immediately after spraying. I probably ought to do it again in the fall.

Yes, the stuff smells vile. Wear rubber gloves and clothes you'll toss in the washer right away while showering. Trust me, nobody loves you enough to hug you with traces of that stuff on you! Not even your mother!

Does the effect wear off? Well, logically it should--the way grass grows my guess is that whatever of the repellent is left in the plant diminishes as it keeps growing all season. But the geese seem to stay away. Maybe it really is "persistent." It may also involve a sort of conditioning. Picture it. They love munching my grass. Then one day each of them learns that for some odd reason that stuff now tastes SERIOUSLY bad! What kind of grass is this, anyway? And they may finally figure, life is short, so who needs this vile stuff when the neighbors have such delicious grass all around. And hey, this guy doesn't have it mowed short and sweet like everybody else.

This stuff smells bad, and did not work. I think that it is supposed to be applied over an area consistently over time so the birds eventually get annoyed and leave. But I bought it to protect some flowers that were getting eaten by geese and ducks, and sprayed, but they came the next day and ate all the flowers. I guess I thought it would work immediately.
