Basics is for all creatives. For all budgets. It’s perfect for all painting techniques including underpainting and sketching. This medium viscosity paint is made with lightfast, art pigments in an expanded choice of 72 colors.

Highest quality pigmentsAll Liquitex paints use the highest quality pigments and go through the same rigorous manufacturing process. The only difference is that with Basics we use a lower concentration of pigment than our professional paints. For Basics, fine art pigments are selected and milled using the latest basket bead-mill technology, in the same way as Soft and Heavy Body Acrylics. Pigments are ground with tiny reinforced ceramic beads to give fine dispersion, great color development, strength and brightness, before being added to the acrylic emulsion. |

These paints are wonderful! I enjoyed using them very much and I haven’t used acrylic paints in forever. Decided to give an unknown (to me btw) brand a try instead of really expensive ones and loved itttt! Didn’t experience any issues with them, just make sure they’re closed, since it’s a little hard, so they don’t dry! Love love heart 😊😊♥️

I was recommended these acrylic paints by a few other Artists. As a professional illustrator, these paints are perfect and the blendability and range of colours you get in this pack is great. Like many other Artists I use these like watercolour to build up colour washes and glazes of thinned colour and these paints are exceptional for this.Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on August 3, 2020
Also these paints mix very well with each other and you can create other shades of colour easily. The tubes are small, but if you are using them like watercolour and also un thinned they should last, although you can buy larger tubes separately if you get a few favourite colours, I can sense that I'll be using the Neutral grey 5 more as I can grey tone stuff with that paint and also light portrait pink which gives a nice mid tone colour for skin.
This is a great paint set and one that I would recommend

As a beginner artist I was a bit sceptical about buying liquitex acrylic paint as I was told to buy winsor and newton professional. But as this is only my second painting I’m over the moon with Liquitex and love how easily they mix and blend for a beginner artist. The paint is not too fast to dry and brushes clean easily. I really shall buy more liquitex paint I like them so far. If you are a beginner artist and want to concentrate on your painting not your paints then I’d fully recommend Liquitex paints.

I love colours! and if you need them just to mix with modelling paste or for details - amount is outstanding. This is more than 1litre of paint (I chose the 48 version x 22ml each) . They mix beautifully and I will definitely buy again and recommend to everyone who will ask me for quality paints and mediums.

Some of the colours (yellows and reds mostly) are very transparent despite claiming to be 'opaque', but this is a common thing with Acrylic paints.
I'm using these for practice and personal works, a very good introduction to acrylic paints.
