Soft Body vs Heavy Body

If you thought Soft Body was just a watered down Heavy Body, you’d be wrong. This flowing, low viscosity formula was actually created first. The two paints have compatible binders and pack the same high pigment load. But if you thin Heavy Body with water or medium, you reduce concentration and get noticeably weaker colors. Paint feel, performance and stability is also impacted, so choose the right consistency of paint for the job.

I ordered an 8oz titanium white for a painting I’m working on this weekend and was sent transparent mixing white. Most artists will understand that there’s a huge difference between the two 😭. Mixing white is thin and less pigmented— it’s used for Bob Ross style paintings. Even though the officially product label clearly says "transparent mixing white" the sellers label has it marked as titanium white under the barcode.

I’m hopefully getting a refund but if you’re in a time crunch please beware that this seller might not understand the differences between different pigments/versions of the same color. I believe there’s another review that received the wrong black pigments as well.
