Blog postOn February 6 (the next IWSG posting), we would like all who want to participate to share a recipe that brings warm memories of friendship and love in honor of our blogger friend Josephine “Jo” Wake who passed away December 16, 2020. She was a dear friend, full of spunk and she wrote a blog:JO WAKE about FOOD, Life and a Scent of Chocolate. I had the honor of meeting her and her husband Matt in2 weeks ago Read more

Blog postRain has finally come to the dry desert of my writing life. I can't believe with all that happened in 2020, that this is the year Rain chose to come to fruition. A blessing. An accomplishment I thought I might never see. I almost gave up. Family decided otherwise and gently prodded me to finish. Family stood behind me. I stood up to my indecision, to my fear, yes, fear, to finish this story. I1 month ago Read more

Blog postIWSG WEBSITEI am so darn happy December is here! (and not only for the snow!) I'm sorry I missed last month's post, and almost missed this one, but in November I was depressed, and, today is my son's birthday!I feel a lot better this month. Last month I think because of Thanksgiving, I felt the absence of my family too keenly and couldn't write about it. We all made it through and for that I am2 months ago Read more

Blog postClick on image for IWSG SiteHave you heard of the singer Jackson Browne? He sang a song when I was younger called "Running On Empty". That is how I feel today, as I send my thoughts out into this crazy sad changing world. I mean, I know the world is always in a state of flux. The world is not stagnate and that is a good thing. The changes happening right now however, feel more threatening than4 months ago Read more

Blog postOkay, this new format on blogger is definitely a challenge, especially at 2 am. This alone is enough to add to insecurities! Of which I have many at the moment. My current WIP is with the editor and all I can think of is what I should have written here, or there, how it really isn't any good, after all these years of working on it. I don't have a real title for it yet. Is it actually boring? Is5 months ago Read more

Blog postIWSG WEBSITE I want to write about something positive in the midst of all this chaos in the world right now. I know there is always chaos, just seems like more than usual this year. Yes, this YEAR! Seems it will never stop, so I want to write about, think about something positive. For me that would be a few things I feel grateful for... Blog postIWSG WEBSITE Welcome to June. Already. Not fair! And because of the crazy of life and country right now, I missed posting last week (not to mention moving). Being that I'm recovering from an operation (last Tuesday), I've had a little time to read between news check ups. I have finished Trevor Noah's "Born A Crime" and it feels particularly relevant right now. Reading it is like listening to7 months ago Read more

Blog postIWSG WEBSITE Sorry All! "I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date!" Moving will do that to one. We are day one in our "new" house. I meant to write my post last week before the crazy hit, but it hit early and so post didn't get written. I'll write next month when we're a bit more settled (fingers crossed!) Hope all of you are well and safe in the madness that is our life now... In the8 months ago Read more

Blog postIWSG WEBSITE Aside from my joking title, I am not going to write about C-19. Instead, I'm going to give you access to another friend's new release, that I, for one, can't wait to read! Then I will go on to my IWSG post... “King has gifted us an immersive world, filled with memorable characters. What an adventure! Blog postIWSG WEBSITE Today I wanted to share a friend's newest release with you, so will do so after my IWSG post, which is short this month! I know you're happy to hear that. Writing is making a slow come back for me, but it IS happening. The journey with these characters is coming to fruition, and whew, I am glad. Makes me almost get excited about covers and formatting and such, the next steps...11 months ago Read more

Blog postIWSG WEBSITE Welcome to February! The weather can't make up its mind and neither can I. There is so much to think of these days and my dreams have been crazy. I guess I must be working out a great deal of stress in them, because I awake each morning wondering where the latest dream has come from. Blog postIWSG 2020 2019 has come and gone and now we move into a new decade. For some reason I used to think decades lasted forever, but of course as I am older now, they don't last long enough. This year is starting with so much uncertainty in the world. It is also starting with uncertainty in my life. I have only vague ideas of where I/we (my husband and I) will be in six months and even those1 year ago Read more

Blog postIWSG This Christmas we are staying in Ohio. It will be a "small" Christmas, one without the large, loving, boisterous family we usually spend it with. I am sad about that, but also happy to think of having a "small" Christmas. Blog postIWSG WEBSITE November 6th Question: What's the strangest thing you've ever googled in researching a story? Blog postIWSG WEBSITE Oh boy, today crept up on me way too fast! Hence this post is late, but, evidently like me, that is life right now. I haven't lost days like this in a long time and now twice in two weeks I've been off kilter. Okay, so, other than being a bit off, progress is happening in current WIP, so can't complain.
