Born and raised in Minnesota, Lisa Maddock has enjoyed creative writing for as long as she can remember. Writing a children's book seemed a natural thing to do, as her young daughter Allison grew to love books more and more. Reading countless middle-grade stories with Allison, combined with watching antics of family guinea pigs, Maggie and Peanut, became the inspiration for her first book, "A Tale of Two Guinea Pigs", starring the squeaky, spunky stars, Teddy and Pip.
Teddy and Pip stories are chapter books for approximately third to fifth grade readers, but my books are enjoyed by younger readers too (as read-alouds) and by grown-ups as well. I like to think there is a little something for everyone in this series.
NOTE: "A Tale of Two Guinea Pigs" has been re-released (a second edition - same story!) and now includes the list of all best friends club members (human and guinea pig) at the end! (Best of times!) Check it out on Amazon.com or order from my website and I will sign the book for your reader! (And I will also send fun stickers and bookmarks!)
ALSO NOTE: "A Tale of Two Guinea Pigs" is now available as a Kindle book.
There are now seven Teddy and Pip stories, available on Amazon.com. Check out The Bridezilla Who Stole Christmas, The Trouble With Max, Nubb Trouble, The Case of the Halloween Spy, Teddy and Pip's Big Adventure, and The Mystery at Christmas Castle.
Visit the website: www.teddyandpip.com for updates on books, the big Christmas SALE, for fun and games, to join the Best Friends Club and for signed copies of Lisa's books!
Lisa's teen novel titled Silver Linings (for 12 to 18 year old girls) will be re-released very soon, so stay tuned! Quickly following that re-release will be the long-awaited Part II of Silver Linings for those who have been waiting to see how it all turns out.
(Note: any other books available by 'Lisa Maddock' are written by a different writer of the same name. My only works are those listed above.)
Lisa Maddock lives in Shakopee, Minnesota, which is a suburb of Minneapolis, with husband, Bill, and daughter Allison, who is now 19.
