I have to agree with a couple of the other reviews about the lack of clear instructions. Being a mechanic for many years, I had a basic understanding of the process and sort of knew what I was doing. It has a wide carbide knife that "scrapes" away the ridge. The key is to make many passes that shave just a little off each time. Be careful not to take off too much. I can see how this would be easy to cut off too much if you are not careful.
would work in an engine with a bore smaller than three inches. This Lisle product works in bores as small as 2 5/8 inches
and fits my needs perfectly. I am very satisfied with the product, it works as promised.

Cleaned up the ridge on a 225000 mile 327 engine just fine. Just be careful not to remove too much or you will be shopping for a new block or paying big bucks to get it sleeved.Published 14 months ago by Jeff
