Editorial Reviews

Through intelligent and complex composition and a penchant for melodic pop, Emanuel and the Fear creates extravagant and climactic electro/orchestral arrangements which ebb and flow around honest and poetic lyrics, delivering a grand audible experience relatable to anyone who not only appreciates music, but has ever listened. With influences swinging as far as Beethoven and Glass and all the way to their peers Arcade Fire and Daft Punk, Emanuel and the Fear exploits its relentless talent and eclectic adaptability in a culmination of epic and theatrical proportions with its new album, Listen.

This CD is so good that I left my ipod at home and just listened to this CD over and over for 2 weeks. It's a very diverse 19 song suite that rewards multiple listenings. This is one talented band that deserves recognition. It remeinds me of the days gone by when a band had to have talent to get a record out. Buy it!!

Amazing debut album by Emanuel & The Fear. Highly recommended for fans of complex or orchestral music. A little experimental too. But I would consider the majority album as orchestral pop. The mixing and editing feels very modern. Don't be scared, give it a try, these guys were clearly inspired !
