I have poor circulation in my feet, so I was excited to find these socks really worked when I first got them. I ordered the socks through Amazon and then added a battery which I got directly from the manufacturer. But after one walk, one of the socks ripped. I sent it back and the manufacturer replaced it. After another month, the battery stopped working. I sent that back but haven't received the promised replacement almost 3 weeks later. And I've received no response to the 3 phone messages I left. So: great product when it's working, but inconsistent quality in the components and poor customer service.

Exactly as the previous reviewer described, I charged and used the socks once and they never worked again. After some frustration working with the owner of the company, I subsequently decided to be rid of this poor quality product and returned it for a refund (absorbing the 20% restocking fee the Thunderbolt sock company charges).

When I received and opened the Thunderbolt shipment, I was immediately unimpressed. The poor/cheap quality materials and construction were very apparent. More importantly, the battery pack and simple control device, were noticeably cheap and extremely low-tech. The fact that the control device does not even have an on/off switch is (or, should have been) a strong indicator of the cheapness of the product. As indicated, the Thunderbolt company charges a 20% restocking fee for returns (even when the materials are defective). To me, the 20% restocking fee is (or, should have been) representative proof that the company itself does not stand behind the quality their product.

I spent $200 on the sock package I bought on-line. Simply put, this is not a product I would have purchased had I viewed it in a store. Hopefully, other on-line buyers can benefit from my mistake.

My husband gave me a pair of Thunderbolt socks to wear when I was teaching riding lessons in the winter. My birthday falls in late February so I did not get a chance to use the socks until this winter. I charged them up and they worked great the first time. Then I charged them two weeks later... they did not work. I tried changing plugs and double checked the sheet of paper on how to charge them. In the end I called the company. I was told I needed to return the battery and the charger to them so they could "test" it. I had to pay for this shipping (which was not cheap since the battery was heavy). I got a call tonight saying that my battery was not working and that I had to pay $45 to get the socks to work again. They did not care that I had used the socks once - they said it was out of the warranty and that was that.
Considering that we paid about $120 for the socks and I used them for about 5 hours total I could never recommend this company.
