Product Description

The Litter Locker Pail System is proven to help Cat Owners dispose of litter clumps easily and keep their home smelling fresh. Cat Lovers use Litter Locker because soiled cat litter must be scooped from litter on a daily basis. Disposing of soiled litter in your home trash or outside is a nuisance – especially when keeping a clean litter box and controlling odor is of primary concern. The Litter Locker Pail is part of an easy-to-use system that locks in odors.

The Litter Locker II Hygienic Soiled Litter Disposal System offers a separate, odor-concealing disposal option for soiled cat litter. The bin contains a disposal bag that you can seal tightly after you deposit litter clumps. The bags have an odor-blocking, multilayer film to keep odors inside and will hold up to two weeks of litter. A holder on the side of this compact container stores the included litter scoop.

Handle Seals Bag to Contain Smells

To use the Litter Locker II, remove soiled litter from your cat's litter box with the included scoop. Open the bin's lid and drop the clumps inside. Once you've emptied the litter box, close the bin and pull the handle on the front, dropping the clumps to the bottom of the bag. Release the handle and it will spring back into place to close off the top of the bag, sealing away unwanted odors. The bags have an odor-concealing, multilayer film that ensures smells stay contained.

Bag Refill Cartridge Lasts up to Two Months

One bag refill cartridge can last up to two months per cat. When the bag becomes full, open the bin, cut the bag from the refill, and knot the bag's top for easy disposal. Pull down another length of bag, tie a knot in the bottom, and close the container to continue using the Litter Locker II.

Each bag can hold up to two weeks of litter (for one cat).

Compact Bin Has Small Footprint

The Litter Locker II measures 17-1/2 by 10 by 9 inches (H x W x D), making it compact enough to store near your cat's litter box, even in smaller rooms. An included litter scoop fits in a holder on the side of the container for easy access.

I purchased this unit at Petsmart and fell in love with it on the first try. After several days, I used up the bag cartridge due to the amount of litter boxes I clean everyday. At $10.00 per cartridge, I decided to retrofit the unit by purchasing a $10.00 box of 10 gallon trash liner bags from Costco that has 500 bags in it. I just take the gray top off, throw the top of the bag over the edge, pull it down through the spring panel and put the gray top back on. It takes one minute to change out the bag and it works great. You see..... I have 10 cats and 5 litter boxes. I can't afford the cartridges if I have to change them out twice per day. You may think that it defeats the purpose, but the bags from Costco are already sealed on the bottom and 500 bags will last me more than half of a year. Try it for yourself.

I have to say this system is genius for disposing of litter, my previous system was a tidy cats bucket with left over plastic bags and this is a huge step up from that. I would highly recommend this as it keeps odors at bay and it has a small footprint. But it's not without cons:

-I have three cats and the scoop included is way too small unless I want to scoop out clumps one at a time. Obviously the handy scoop caddy on the side only fits the scoop included, both the caddy and scoop are essentially useless to me.
-The opening of the unit is also too small, but if you have one cat and use the included scoop then it should be fine for you.
-I go through bags faster than the manufacturer says I would. I started using this system on January 29th and February 14th I ran out of bags. I found that I need to use a new bag every 3-4 days, I could go 5 days but that's really pushing the envelope. The cost of buying replacement cartridges could become a larger expense for me.

While these cons are annoying, the convenience of the system balance them out. I do have to say that I haven't had one ripped bag and enjoy not having to endure the odors of old cat litter when emptying. I would officially give this product 4.5 stars out of 5 but can't, so four stars it is.

I still think this is the best litter containment system out there, however I am disappointed in the amount of bags you get with this particular model and the cost to continually purchase the bags. My boyfriend decided to do a little experiment; when I was out of bags, I kept the empty ring and he purchased the refill cartridge for the first model of litter locker

Length: 1:52 Mins
Omega Litter Box:
- Simply tilt liter box to one side and then back again! Clean litter
sifts back to the main compartment and clumped dirty litter now sits
in a pull out compartment that you empty into the trash. It's really
that simple
- At roughly $30 a great and affordable alternative to electric boxes
that require filter replenishment

Litter Locker II Litter Disposal System:
- Diaper genie for cat litter
- Pour dirty litter in, pull handle to seal below
- Very convenient, saving you daily trips to the garbage
- Stationary, meaning no more struggles to get litter into moving
target (e.g., plastic bag)
- Does require that you buy new bags every few weeks

PetFusion SmartGrip Cat Litter Mat
- Great size and softer material that relaxes litter from cats paws
- Dimples and channel catch litter better than others
- Multiple cleaning options- My preference is to sweep
- Nice looking is an added benefit

I've always had a cat, now have 2 males who are prolific in the litter box. I scoop at least 3x a day, I do not want to smell anything and I will not use a lid or perfumes because cats do not like certain scents, perfume in particular. So I was using what I thought was amazing litter Worlds Best, a flushable natural corn grain litter. Kept odor down.

I'm about to have a hip replacement and was looking for a way to minimize certain tasks, one was having to throw a bag of garbage out daily, a bag containing cat poop. The house I moved into is too old even for something as benign as scoopable/flushable litter.

With some skepticism I bought the Litter Locker (version seen here) and its easy to assemble but I am joyously grateful for this amazing invention. I hope the inventor has a patent and gets some good press, this container is ingenious.

With multiple scooping for 2 cats it still holds a week's worth of disposals.
One of the first products for pets that actually does what it says it will and even more so.

I went through the entire cartidge that came with the Litter Locker in less than 2 weeks and lucky me, the last bag broke and with loose stools in it, needless to say there was a mess requiring 2 washings, bleach and rubber gloves.

I never saw that 'black line' indicating bags were running out. In a moment of desperation I took a Glad 10 Gal white bag, and without reusing the cartridge slipped it through the slot into the canister and draped it over the sides before replacing the top containing the 'drawer'.
