My only issue is sometimes the writing is hard to read. But not terrible. The words are just sometimes too close together. However, that is not a huge deal and it just takes a moment to slow down and read.
I give 5 stars to Little Bean's Funderwear Day!
I received a free ACR in hopes of a review on my blog, My MisMatched World.
Clever mom makes it into a fun event and declares that tomorrow is "Funderwear Day!" Wait until you find out how that is celebrated! Each person choses his favourite skivvies and proudly uses them appropriately. Little Bean gets to choose his too...and his best-loved unmentionables are covered with space ships...the perfect logo to blast off his pee and poo into the toilet. The illustrations are simple, colourful, expressive and just plain fun.
This book is a wonderful tool to introduce your child to potty training in his/her life and I like the fact that the whole family is involved to encourage and support little Bean. Their message to the little guy is, if we can do it, so can you. I highly recommend this book.
The idea of "Funderwear Day" is genius and the drawings are adorable. I thought the book might give a little more how-to for toddlers, but the point seems to be helping to start the potty conversation with a nervous toddler and make it seem more like an adventure than a chore.
The book doesn't tell what happened to Little Bean on Funderwear Day, but we can only hope it was a big success.
Looking forward to future books from this author and illustrator!
