A Little Bit of Everything for Dummies brings together a diverse selection of content for your learning pleasure. I was excited to have access to multiple topics (marketing, puppies, cameras, IT and 16 others) all in one book. While only one chapter per topic is included, the book personally gave me insight to which books may aid me in future endeavors. I actually hadn't seen a few books of interest in stores- more accurately, I didn't know exactly what I was looking for. Now I know guidence awaits from the For Dummies kingdom.
-Multiple topics all in one
-You get a sneak peek of an entire chapter
-Your brain will thank you for feeding it knowledge
-Like me, you may find the book you're looking for
-Also like me, you may have trouble deciding which book you'd like to go buy first.
*I received this product in exchange for my review. However, this review is my own personal opinion and has in no way been influenced by receiving the product which is free to the general public anyways. Nothing to gain but knowledge here. :)
The concept of it sounds fantastic: Sections from many Dummies books, compiled into one, so you can learn a little of a lot all at once. When you start reading it, though, you quickly realise that it doesn't play out like that. You can't just learn a little bit of French when the chapter about French is pulled from the middle of the French For Dummies book and it's impossible to make sense out of without the previous lessons.
Not all chapters are impossible to follow, even if they're pulled from the middle of the books. And some just exist for the novelty of it, which is okay. My favourite chapter in this book comes from DOS For Dummies, the very first ever Dummies book. I ended up finding an hour or two of worth from it, and well, it was free, so I'm cool with those numbers.
There were some things in this book that I can use the internet instead. Like the very first chapter. This one almost made me not want to read the book, but as I kept flipping. I changed my mind about the dummies A little bit of everything.
I liked that this contained french language, but I wish it would be something else. Since I studied french in school, so a lot of it I remember. But this still gave me some new information, but like i said it is not a lot. I wish it was longer.
overall, I definitely recommend getting this book and especially now since it is free because you can become a well rounded individual. This helps out with languages, technology and even relationships. So a little bit of everything and you are already more knowledgeable than before.
I received this book for free in exchange for my honest opinion.
There are millions of things to learn about, and this book offers 20 different chapters covering everything from French to Facebook. Each chapter is easy to read and understand, making reading more of a pleasurable activity instead of a chore. Because there is such a range of topics it's easy to get a taste of several topics and I was able to find a few things I wanted to research more in-depth later!
John Wiley and Sons have made another wonderful book that I greatly enjoyed reading!

The Dummies book series has been pretty popular throughout my childhood, and as a result I remember seeing them here and there in libraries and bookshops. Back in the day where learning how to use DOS was the only thing you needed to know about PC and technology.
Things are moving fast nowadays so I'm not sure how much of this info is still relevant, and although they re up to date with chapters on 'social media' and 'trends' etc. I still find it like a little read, that I'd recommend to a younger public, more than a real go-to guide to improve your knowledge about a specific topic.
Great fro travelling or when short distance journey, or whenever in need to kill some time.
The format is what makes the books so easy to use; each book is broken down into sections that help the reader get to the main points of the actual subject. They are usually interspersed with small snippets of useful information or little bits of humour that make them more enjoyable to read.
This book contains a number of sections from a variety of different "Dummies" books; and it's clear that this is to introduce the new reader to the idea that a "Dummies" book can be of some value in getting to grips with new ideas, products or ways of doing things.
As I didn't pay for this book, I would say that it is OK; but as someone that has used "Dummies" books in the past, I'm already a fan. If you've not used any before, this will give you a good idea of what they are about.
It’s basically short condensed sections from some of the previous books so is quite entertaining and may have some useful information for you.
I don’t think I’d have paid for the book though since there wasn’t really any information I couldn’t have found myself with a few minutes with a search engine - but if you can get it for free it’s worth a download!
