"People seeking peace in a chaotic world could benefit a lot in heeding the philosophy of an equally complex ancient time. Author Jonas Salzgeber curates some excellent thoughts and expands upon them with clear prose and uncomplicated concepts and examples, which should make The Little Book of Stoicism an easy and approachable read for all."
"I really liked reading The Little Book of Stoicism for its simplicity and its genuine attempt to demystify this philosophy and present it in a contemporary setting... The language and writing style are simple and pleasing and I am sure will be relatable to most young people of today's age... Overall, for anyone interested in philosophy or simply looking for ways for self-improvement, this book will surely be very helpful."

After that, the book jumps into 55 practices, meditations and ideals for practically applying Stoicism to your daily life. For me, after reading and learning so much about the philosophy over the past 3 years, it was a really nice refresher. But also, I found myself busy highlighting new ideas and taking notes perspectives and points of view that I hadn't thought about before. Jonas broke down rather complex ideas into an easy-to-read format full of modern examples and applications. This book is a perfect addition to the library of layman and expert alike.
In the world that we live in today, if everyone was just a little bit more Stoic, from the man or woman who lives down the street to those that run our highest government offices, the world would become an exponentially better place to live. And it would become better quite quickly.
As such, this book is a worthy read and I'm very happy to see Stoicism proliferate throughout our modern literature. Whatever your beliefs, Stoicism is what we need a little bit more in this world. Not only for others, but for ourselves, and there is no better place to start than The Little Book of Stoicism. Well done!
The price is steal. I can't wait for the physical release so I can add this to my library for continued reading and reference.
That is not to say I am not getting benefit from the explanations of Stoicism. I am. It is just the feeling of 'deja vu' really throws the flow of the reading, I think I must have lost my place and am re-reading the same section.
Sort of like that
This is in the first 25% of the book and then the rest goes into depth with further explanations and practical ways to use Stoicism for a happy flowing life while closing the gap between the ideal you and the you of today. I purchased the Kindle version and it was so good I bought two paperback copies to share with family and friends.
Pick you up a copy or two, you won't be disappointed.

I've recently taken an interest in stoicism and was keen to learn the fundamentals of what it means to live with a stoic mindset.
This book delivered everything I needed and wanted as a reader.
The writer is likeable and I felt as though I was having a deep conversation with a wise old friend.
The book is easy to read, interesting and to the point. I could not put it down.
I think it would benefit those who suffer depression, anxiety and excessive worry.
The writer is very clear in what he is trying to convey and the book is easy to digest.
I have suffered anxiety most of my life but reading this book I felt as though there was an internal shift in my perspective.
Each time I feel worry I recall the teachings in this book or go back to a specific section that I highlighted (which was most of the book, to be honest).
It has helped me profoundly and further ignited my interest in stoicism.
I have bought a lot if books from amazon, a lot of self help and non fiction books, some have been a waste of money. Not this, I wish I could have read it years ago.
Amazing book which you will not regret buying.
My honest review
A philosophy which began in Ancient Greece and Rome still hold great relevance today and is brought into the modern era by this book. With wisdom that belies his years Jonas Salzgeber has succeeded in distilling the essence of Stoicism into the diagram of a triangle. The centre contains the purpose of life according to Stoic philosophy and the cornerpoints the headlines of how to strive to achieve it. The first third of the book expands on this triangle covering the philosophy and its key protagonists. Being a practical philosophy the second two-thirds is effectively a manual for how to practice Stoicism. The book is interwoven with relevant quotes from the masters and is peppered with delightful pictures. I enjoyed the fact that the book was soley concerned with Stoicism and did not digress onto other philosophies nor psychological approaches.
Stoicism was good enough for Emperor Marcus Aurelius and it’s good enough for me. Already I feel I am beginning to reap the benefits of this book and sense I will refer to it frequently.
Bravo Jonas. I take off my non-ostentatious hat to you.
My honest recommendation
If you seek a way of thinking and living that will give you an internal mainstay of resilience, confidence and calm then invest in this book.
