The illustrations take up around 2/3 of the page and the writing is large and in a child friendly font.
There are 7 bugs and each is well drawn. The illustrations are bright and colorful and appropriate for a pre school age child. The rhymes are simple and not very original. I think it would have been better if there had been a hint in the verse so that a child could guess what the bug is. As is the cue to what bug it is, is that it will rhyme with the last word of line two of the question verse.
Lately I have seen several of this type of book. While I thought this was nice it is no better nor worse than several others I have seen.
So if your preschooler is into bugs. This is the book to get.
Illustrated very colorful children's book that is not only a counting book/game but
a guessing game about bugs. On one page you see the picture, then the next page asks you to find certain things..
I like this book because it has everyday bugs to identify.
Absolutely adorable and so much fun, your littles will love this book for years to come. Showing the littles the different kinds of bugs will have them exploring outside whenever they get the chance. I love this one. There can never be enough fun books for babies and littles to have. It gives them a great start on being good readers. Cindy Bracken included everything littles enjoy in a book!
I didn't find issues with this one.
I gave this one 5 out of 5 books because it encompasses all the things an enjoyable and teaching book should.

The bugs featured in this book are:
Ant * Butterfly * Ladybug * Beetle * Spider * Dragonfly * Bee *
One thing I did notice was that the author sometimes uses 'buggy' and at other times 'buggie'. Curious as to why?
