Editorial Reviews

Danny O'Shea has forever lived in the shadow of his brother, the great football player Kevin O'Shea. Kevin was stronger, faster, and more popular. But when his daughter is cut from Kevin's pee-wee football team, Danny brings together a squad of picked-lasts and losers to prove to Kevin that he can still learn a lot from his brother.

This movie is a classic. We owned it on VHS and the tape finally fell apart, so I ordered it for our family for Christmas. Good for all ages, nice night of entertainment for all of us.

How is it that all other DVD versions of movies that came out around the same time (Sandlot/Heavyweights/Mighty Ducks) are all 4.99-6.99 but LITTLE GIANTS is $55.09????? That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Still hoping it's a misprint or joke.... I want to buy this movie for my collection but NO WAY would I pay that. Get it together Amazon.

Matthew, our 6-year old son, loved this movie. (His mom and dad enjoyed it, too!) This story brought humor and inspiration to the littlest giant in our house. It also communicated to him that, sometimes, all it takes is just "one time" to make a difference!
Parents may also watch this and be inclined to look back on the reality of youth...reminding us that the being the coolest of jocks or most popular of prom queens won't determine or LIMIT our destiny as we mature.

I totally loved this movie.
It is funny and sweet and full of hope and emotion.
You do not need to understand sports to enjoy this movie.

At the beginning of the movie, the two little boys who played the younger versions of Ed O'Neill and Rick Moranis were amazing.
The way that they talked and acted were exactly like them.

One very minor thing annoyed me.
This is a comedy, and it should not be taken seriously, but I need to mention it anyway.
The very overprotective mother said that she spent nine months in bed trying to have a healthy baby.
And still, her baby was born at less than two pounds.
This really annoyed me because it is impossible to have such a tiny baby with a full term pregnancy.

Too many people are reviewing this movie based on its price, rather than the movie.

My 7 year old enjoyed this movie. There were times when I thought that it was a little rough and mature for a kids movie, but I would recommend for any kid 9+ without question; 6-9 I recommend if the child is mature and at parents discretion. I must disclose that I am a little more conservative when it comes to my kids, though. As an example, there is one seen where a boy and girl in the show spend a few minutes discussing the different types of kissing, followed by awkward moments of the girl wanting to kiss the boy. I would have liked more in the story line about team work and coming together as a team - I had to narrate that part in for my son.

Great movie from 1994. I was 10 years old at the time and I'm sure this was something I saw right away. Rick Moranis & Ed O'neill in this movie make it great but the story line is amazing. You don't always have to be the greatest to come out a winner. Dedication and hard-work help you to reach your goals.

Such a classic! I love this movie. I'm a girl who has been a football fan since I was little, so this movie is right up my alley. Totally nostalgic for me and very entertaining. Clean and appropriate for the whole family - this is going to be one that I show my littles. Love the good values it teaches and the sweet characters.

I was surprised at how well this movie's held up. I remember first watching it in the late nineties, and I only recently purchased it because it was on sale. I'd say that it's on par with or better than the Mighty Ducks movies, so take that to mean whatever you want it to mean. If you or your kids are looking for a good kid-friendly sports movie, then I'd suggest checking this out.
