DEFECTIVE PRODUCT RUINED DAUGHTERS 6TH BIRTHDAY...BEWARE!!!

Read reviews as I always do to determine quality of product. Saw an acceptable % of negative reviews regarding defective products, this was on the top of my daughter's wish list for her 6th birthday so figured it was worth a shot. My daughter was incredibly excited when she opened her gift, less so when it did not work. Fresh batteries would surely fix the problem right?....not so much. Replaced with fresh batteries, changed from "try me mode" and the dog made a nonstop barking sound that would only cease if the item was turned off completely, none of the other supposed functions worked. My daughter cried herself to sleep that night. Upon reading further reviews and research discovered that this is a fairly common problem, upon further inspection of the packaging, this product was obviously a returned item. I have a sneaking suspicion that the seller merely retaped a defective returned product and shipped it back out to the next victim. Will never purchase this product or anything from this seller again.
please learn from my mistake DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU CAN PHYSICALLY PUT YOUR HANDS ON IT AND VERIFY THAT IT ACTUALLY WORKS.

Same problem as others, be sure to change all batteries!!

My son really wanted this for Christmas so Santa brought it for him. He apsolutely loves his puppy. After about a month and a half I had the same issue as many others, it would only make a weird barking noise when turned on. My son was so upset so I went on their website for help.

They had a video on how to change the batteries and I realized there are 2 batteries in both the back legs. I had only changed the 2 batteries in the foot with the on button.

Once changing all the batteries the puppy worked just fine!!!

My five year old daughter loves this puppy. It would be better without the loud mechanical noises he makes when he moves, but she doesn't mind. The sounds are pretty cute and there's a decent variety of sounds and movements.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )

This is a really cute little dog. Shimmer (my daughter's name for Snuggles) has VERY soft fur, but is not "snuggly" like a regular stuffed animal because there is a definite robot skeleton inside, but the soft fur makes it way better than any other animatronic toy I have been around. It's actually decent realistic.

My daughter is scared of dogs, so getting her this toy was our first step in trying to get her past that, and the fact that she likes it is quite a big deal. She loves how putting her nose to the dogs nose gets a happy purr, and how the dog makes happy sounds when she is pet or is fed a bottle. She even burps when she is done drinking the bottle. On the downside, it occasionally barks at her at night when she is in bed.

Technologically, this is way more advanced than the Furreal friend cat my son had about five years ago, which had distinct switches under the fur. (Note that I haven't seen a Furreal Friend since, so they may be just as - or even more - advanced) but this one doesn't animate in the same way, and could even be considered a little boring. It's a much more gentle toy I think.

I was torn between four or five stars on this one, but my 4-1/2 year old little girl is watching me write this review and is just going on and on about how much she loves her dog, and at the end of the day, it's her opinion that counts, doesn't it?

The puppy is very cute, but brand new batteries (Duracell) only last about 10 minutes, which makes this not a very functional toy. This puppy cost $90, not worth it!!

Awful, went through 2 in 1 week!

Awful, I have gone through 2 so far, returning the first when it got stuck in that barking sound and now the second just completely stopped working and I changed the batteries in both. Also, that's over the last WEEK so both stopped working immediately. This toy is complete garbage, anything else is better
