The 3-4 paragraphs on each bird provide the reader with a description of the bird, habitat, a little about the male and female and also how to encourage the birds to visit your yard.
Sadly, only the male bird is shown which I think is a great pity as children need to see the differences between the brighter male and the much plainer female of each species. With both shown I would have awarded this book 5 stars but I think the author missed an essential part by only including the males. I purchased this book for my Kindle. I was not required to write a review but chose to do so. Thanks, Liz
The pictures are great for my toddler who is super into birds right now. I like that it's labeled so that later he can learn about them but I was really just after the pictures. Which are great! I only wish there were more but I can't even really complain about that considering it was free
