As a neuropsychologist specialized in Learning disabilities, I use these books in my practice and at home with my kids. It doesn’t just explain the feelings but also it provides examples of when you van feel them and the strategies to help you cope with them that are easy to use and apply daily. My husband and I even MODEL using the strategies at home so our kids can also use them. My 4 and 7 year olds love them. Highly recommended.

We got these for our son for his fifth birthday. We were noticing he was experiencing lots of big feelings as he is growing and not sure how to put words on them. This series has been great for understanding his emotions and finding practical solutions to come to a place of calmness/"peace". I appreciate that they don't talk about certain emotions being good or bad, but that all of our feelings are part of everyone and help us understand ourselves better. His favorite book is the Scribble Spot book when all the feelings are mixed up. The way the author wrapped the Scribble Spot in "Love" was super sweet. This is a good series to get the conversation started with the children in your life. Emotional health is just as important as physical health. We will buy others in the series as he grows. I do think there are some other childhood experiences to go off of other than my toy has been taken or my art messed up. Those happen in a couple of books. Perhaps the other series have more diversity in issues. Either way, these still hold a lot of value for kids navigating their emotional worlds.
