As a dog owner and dog lover, I just fall in love with this book. This book show you what's unconditional love, how strong a person can be. I can't imagined if Sammy's situation happen to me, I don't know I can go through all the challenges as Sammy throw to Suzanne. See them finding the way to understand each other more is just beautiful. On top that , the author donated all the profits to a shelter. So I recommend buy this book, because it's not just help you to know what love is, and to open your heart, also help those homeless animals.
Being in animal rescue I know the type of dog that is so damaged that even the kindest of adopters are at a loss of how to deal .
The patience and love the author exhibits is amazing. (As a dog trainer, owner of many dogs) I have to say this would hav been almost beyond me as well.
I love you Suzanne for the life and love you gave Sammy.
If you never read another book about dogs you must read this one. Well written and heartfelt. My one regret is that I never met Sammy. With all our other loved ones I look forward to meeting him at the bridge.
