My baby, who just turned one, was so excited to get this. Soon she saw it she tried to walk up the slide. She soon learned the right way to go, but she still prefers trying to go up the slide first. Its very simple to put together and store. Even my seven year old wanted to try to slide down it. Its a great slide for beginners and worth the money.

Great for a ball pit, just high enough to barely fit over the top rail of this pool. CONS: they say it's foldable, but in order to fold it, you have to take it apart so a bit misleading.

At first I was a little worried because some of the reviews state that the sides/arms come off easily. I was even more disappointed when I received it and mine was doing the EXACT same thing, arms coming completely off when the baby was trying to use it. BUT!!! I had it on wrong, as I suspect most parents did at first, and once I pressed down SUPER HARD and it clicked in (okay, I actually had my husband do this part), there was no slipping out again!! I hope this helps with anyone having this issue. It really did seem like it was clicked in and together the first time, but it goes down even further and really is sturdy after that.

Anyway, no complaints! My 34 lb two year old loves it and it's easily taken indoors and outdoors.

We purchased this slide from target for our sons first birthday. He and his 97th percentile 5 year old brother LOVE this slide. We live in Michigan and it has been great to keep them active inside while it is freezing outside. Our 1 year old figured it out immediately and although he tried giving me several heart attacks while he figured out how to get his feet under him and slide down, he figured it out after about a day and a half and I don't feel like I have to be right next to him while he plays on it. It is rather tall, my one year old is in the 95th percentile for height and it is taller than him. There have been several complaints about the hand rails falling off. I thought the same thing when I put it together, however my husband walked over and gave them a good pound with his palm and we havnt had any problems with them coming off. They are just a little hard to get in properly. Over all this is a great slide both of my boys really enjoy.

If I could give this more stars... I would. We purchased this for our 12 month old for Christmas. Highlight of his day! While he doesn't understand the steps.. He enjoys climbing up the red slide and sliding down on his belly!!! This is a pretty sturdy slide as long as you make sure it's on a flat surface. The arms tend to pop up once in a while, so be sure to make check the few interlocking points before allowing a little one to use. As my son cannot use it alone yet, an adult is always with him. I would recommend adult supervision until your child can climb and fall like a pro!

I rarely write reviews, but this slide has been so much fun over the past year that when I saw it while Christmas shopping this year, it made me smile and I decided to write a review. I purchased this slide last year as a Christmas present for my grandsons who were 18 months, and 2 1/2yrs. We put a big mat at the bottom and they enjoyed it inside the house. However, this summer we took it outside and placed the bottom inside a plastic swimming pool, They LOVED it. We have an in-ground pool at our home, but there is no shade and the kids cannot swim, so I put this slide and a plastic pool on an indoor/outdoor rug close to big pool, then put a canopy over it and the little kids spent hours and hours playing in it this summer. I buy so many products from Amazon and tons of things for my grandsons, but this is by far the one item they have really enjoyed. Now that its gotten colder, I brought the slide and pool into the garage and filled the pool with balls, so they can enjoy it this winter too.

Very very disappointed in Little Tikes. This is the 3rd toy I've purchased in a year from this company, and all of them have been defective. This slide snaps together. The plastic is very thin and flimsy. Not like the thick durable plastic I remember from this company in the '80s. The handles just pop off by themselves and when being grasped by a climbing Toddler. My granddaughter fell backwards, handles in hand, while climbing up the ladder to slide. Fortunately I was there to catch her and she was not injured. I will NEVER buy any more Little Tikes products. Pieces of junk all!!!!

My daughter loves this slide and we use it primarily in doors. We take it out on the weekends and her eyes light up and she will spend hours climbing and sliding. The slide is well built, feels sturdy, and breaks down to take up very little space when not in use. My knock against the product though is I feel they sort of mis-represent the method/mechanism for storing the slide. IT's written pretty vaguely and in such a manner that I at least expected this to be a hinged or folding design which is not the case. Rather the "steps" have to be pulled OUT of the slide then once removed from the slide they flip over and are essentially "stored" against the backside of the slide. Is this the end of the world? not nearly, but the description provided in the listing is in my opinion inconsistent with the actual process. The listing says "folds down without tools", there is literally ZERO folding, rather it should read "the slide easily brakes down without tools, the stairs once removed from the slide easily store under neath it for convenient storage". There would be no misinterpreting that. It doesn't make this a bad slide I just feel like its being represented as something it's not which is a slide that stores quickly and easily rather then a slide which can be essentially disassembled for storage.

***UPDATED to say that I read a bunch of other reviews and there's sort of a two step process to get the handles to snap in correctly. You pop the little tab in and think you've done it, but you actually have to push again - you should hear two snaps. Once I did that, they stayed. Still not giving it 5 stars despite the value for the price because it's a pain in the butt to take apart and store.

Slide looks great, but the handles keep popping off. Everything is aligned correctly, and they snap in like they're supposed to, but within 5 seconds or so they pop back out. Noticed a few people seem to have this problem so maybe I/we just had a defective slide. It's also much harder to separate the ladder from the slide - and thus to store - than I was hoping. I physically don't seem to be strong enough (which, again, maybe suggests I just got a lemon?).

I bought this slide for my son when he was about 18 months old. He is almost 2 now and really enjoys using it. I would imagine he could use it until he's 4 or so. One of the things that sold me on this model was that you could fold it up and tuck away for easy storage. This of course comes in handy in a small apartment or storage shed. The slide is made of plastic but does not feel too flimsy. However, if a kid were to sand on the ladder and lean back they could probably pull it over on them. He has never done this but I have seen other kids stand on it like this and watch the slide lift up. I also think the base is pretty sturdy so that it would be hard for it to tip over. Maybe if you were standing on the top of the slide it could tip over, but again that has not happened to my kid. I have mostly used this in my house but it can of course be used outside. One time I took it to a neighbor's party who had a kiddy pool and the kids had fun sliding into the pool. I have also seen people do this with a ball pit inside their house and think that looks like fun! All in all, this is a great slide and stores easily. Here's a review of pros and cons:

Pros
Wide base - would not tip on the side easily
Folds for easy storage
Good size slide for a toddler. I think it's appropriate for 18months to 4 years

Cons
Could tip back if a kid is standing on the ladder and leans back
