About Liv Dooley
As a young lady, Liv struggled with bullying, depression, thoughts of suicide, and alcoholism, but it was easily masked behind the smile she wore, the great grades she made, and the many extracurricular clubs she joined and led. Now, Liv writes and speaks to encourage, inspire, and empower women-young and mature alike-who feel overwhelmed by their experiences and would like to discover positive ways to connect with community.
The Colorfully Candid Diaries delve into many topics from complex mother daughter dynamics to help moms and daughters connect, similar to Dannah Gresh; friendship issues like those found in The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas; body dysmorphic disorders like those discussed in Skinny by Donna Cooner; and the exploration of faith like Are You There God, It's Me Margaret by Judy Blume. Liv has made a commitment to authenticity, originality, and candor and everything she says is spoken in love, even though it's tough sometimes. You can find Liv in the community with The Colorfully Candid Paradigm and serving as the youth pastor at New Antioch Christian Fellowship-Aliante. Remember to follow Liv on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat at CandidLiv and visit www.candidliv.com to continue the conversation.

The second semester of high school has even more surprises than the first, starting with Veronica, or Vero, for short. There's just something about her that's off, and London can't help but try to figure it out. Russell is finer than ever, but he's off limits, according to Anya's parents, so Anya's jumped on an emotional roller coaster that has no end in sight. Meschell, on the other hand, is focused, until she gets caught up in a game of Oreo. After all, what's the difference between a dream and a goal, anyway? When Ms. Marks asks everyone to do a special project, the girls have to work to figure it out.
Two Dreams and a Goal is the second Colorfully Candid Diary about Anya, London, and Meschell, three teens on a journey to figure out who they and what really matters in life. Life is complicated and growing up is tough, but when you've got friends like these, it's easy to remember you're not alone in any of it.
Sophomore year should be easy, right? Wrong! Anya, London, and Meschell are shocked to find out that life is so much more complicated than they expected, especially when you throw boyfriends, drama, and birthday parties into the mix. The girls have to make difficult decisions about their relationships, but fortunately for them, London and Vero’s joint quinceanera is a welcome distraction. If only, it could all end there like a fairy tale. Once the party ends, the girls realize how hard it is to run away from your family and your feelings as they wonder whether their greatest wishes or their deepest prayers will ever be answered.
