This cd is the best. I am waiting for it to be released on DVD as I have worn out my VHS. It is a simply perfect performance and all of the musicians playing on it are outstanding. Everyone is handling their business and enjoying themselves. You can tell! Love Nathan East(of Fourplay) on bass. My favorite song is "Nitakungodea Milele." I can listen to it on repeat over and over again. I would love to have the instrumental version of this, too. Just outstanding music. If you are a music lover, this one has got to be in your collection. Keeping my fingers crossed about a DVD release.

I love this cd as I still have the cassette that I purchased of its release in 1985. However, I am not very pleased with the quality of this remaster (and the case was cracked upon arrival). In all fairness, I have only listened to it in my house on a player that is okay but not great. Maybe it will sound better in the car. I am hopeful! Bottom line, buy it for the amazing songs and live concert, but don't expect excellent quality. I will update once I listen to it in the car. Cheers!

Another Jarreau live album repreasenting probablty his most commercial succeassful period (1980's). Synthesizer heavy and loud techno jazz of the experimental 1980's. Yet Al Jarreau still is classy and versatile with range. Favorite is standard "Teach Me Tonight" better than Joe Williams version which says a lot.

Energy, enthusiasm, emotion, and fun exude from this CD. Al's voice is another instrument not just a voice. Pure magic happened that night. If you don't tap your feet, gain a tearful eye, and sing along then you have no pulse. This is a MUST have disc. Al is taking you on an emotional ride of your life.

This is one of my favorite albums and definitely my favorite Al Jarreau album. I had it on cassette and was thinking about some of the tunes the other day and ordered it from Amazon. I got the MP3 album and within a few minutes had a CD to put in my car. Ain't the Internet wonderful?

While stationed in Germany in the mid 80s, I was fortunate to see Mr Jarreau in concert during his "Live In London" tour with (I believe it was) Chaka Khan opening up for him. Wow, Wow, & Wow again ... an amazing concert!!

I own a copy of both the "Live In London" CD & VHS and while the VHS is far far better than the CD, like Mr Jarreau said in concert, "the album is the album but this is live & I like live ... know what I mean!!" His live performance was the absolute "Bomb-diggadee" and his VHS version of it leaves no doubt!!

I am really surprised that after all this time, a DVD version of Mr Jarreau's "Live In London" performance has yet to be released. Maybe I should just invest in a DVD/VHS Recorder & copy it for myself in order to spare my VHS copy!! Hummm, now there's an idea! :o)

Enjoy both the music & the show!! ;o)

I'm normally don't like live recordings, but this one is awesome, maybe the best ever. Al Jarreau shows what a magnificent artist he is. And everything in the concert is great. The powerful intro of "Raging Waters", the groove of "Black and Blues", the crying in "High Crime" and the incredible feeling in the two concluding songs, "Teach Me Tonight" and "We're In This Love Together". All of the musicians are performing at their best. Maybe for a Non-Al Jarreau-fan this is nothing special, but for a HUGE fan like myself it's superb. What else can I say...buy it!

I confess I've never been a huge Jarreau fan, although I certainly respect him as a true great among vocalists...dunno why, guess the stuff he sings tend to be a bit too much on the pop or "light" side for my tastes. And I must also confess I heard this album by accident.
...and now for my final confession: I LOVE this album. Between the high quality performances and excellent mix of songs selected, I've found it so very "playable" so many times. If you'd like an easy-going kind of CD (which I will NOT insult by calling "smooth jazz") done by a great singer, get this.
