Some of my students (some privileged, some not so privileged) were under the impression aka: illusion that the economy had nothing to do with homelessness -- these folks want to be homeless; it's a choice.
I had to make that teaching, indoctrination, whatever you want to label it leave their minds; and the best way to do this is "seeing is believing!" I had to "teach" them that homelessness is not a "choice" because no matter who you are there may come a time in your so-called comfy life, that you will lose your way; finding your way back is where the struggle comes in.
The papers I got back after my students watched and discussed this DVD could start a new TV talk show re: Homelessness in such a "rich" Nation.
This is a must see for all those who think what they have is "theirs" and theirs alone and it, (whatever "it" is)is here to stay, and all you got to do is work hard..blah..blah..blah.. and helping someone else is nonexistent.
Think again, my friends, buy this DVD, it could happen to anyone.
