I can't believe I still have to write this out. THIS ' film company' reviews their own movies , marks them as helpful and marks not helpful on all reviews three stars and under. But more on that later.
This movie is about lives interweaving. They try to ' rewind' and go back over things much like their previous film ' hell is full'. It's a premise that has been done a lot, but it also makes it hard to review without spoiling too much.
There's some shady stuff going on in town, mostly a sex club going on by adults in what looks to be a school undergoing construction. But I think that's just the only place they had to film because clubs like that usually take place in non-school or community center buildings....just saying. This movie just repeats itself a lot trying to push the main story down your throat and spelling it out.
Also a lot of people are talking about the sex scenes they aren't anything, but There's one rape scene that is over in under a minute, it's more to solidify a plot, no nudity. Then there's this fetish club that is laughably bad, like it's awful. The attempt to be artist and ' creative' is lost on that scene completely. It's so bad, it's so hysterically bad. There's a room full of people who like to watch others have supposed sex? And everyone about to masturbate makes it hysterical, honestly I don't know how they filmed that scene without laughing. They zoom in on everyone's face as they go down the row making sure everyone knows they are getting off. I'm probably going to use that scene as an intro to my " bad movie nights " parties I host. Like EVERYONE bit their lip when the camera was directed at them before they did the deed. I was almost in tears laughing. Don't worry they don't show anything. There's zero nudity in this film ( thankfully).
I fear I may be too harsh but then I double checked with my friend that watched with me. They agree this movie isn't worth your time.
Honestly all these reviews by the crew or people involved keep putting david Lynch's name out there, STOP just please. Stop. This will never ever remotely come close to any artistic value of one of his films, budget or no budget, you took some gel lights, lit about two scenes with them and took a strobe light from the dollar store to film a boring scene. I'm sorry, I've seen better student films because they aren't attempting something they know nothing about. Although they finally got some decent sound equipment, so that I was thankful for. But then again, there was hardly any dialogue....
