Capture Lectures, Labs, Seminars, Study Groups, and More with Durable College-Ruled Notebooks
Each notebook in this pack contains 100 sheets of high-quality paper, quick access buttons for your smartpen settings, and a divider with two storage pockets for handouts. Individual sheets feature a micro-perforation for quick and clean tear-outs, as well as standard 3-hole punched format for easy storage in binders.
These single subject notebooks come in a pack of four, each with a different color cover (dark blue, red, black, and orange) and unique dot pattern from the inside front cover all the way through to the inside back cover.
How Livescribe Paper Works
Dot paper uses regular paper printed with a unique pattern of tiny microdots. This tiny pattern works a lot like a GPS system for your smartpen. It allows a smartpen to capture everything it writes or draws on dot paper.
Livescribe smartpens only work with Livescribe paper, so we've created a variety of paper sizes and types: College-ruled Notebooks, Lined Journals, Blank Journals, Mini Journals, A5-sized Notebooks, Flip Notepads, and Sticky Notes.
- Before using any new paper product, please check to see that your smartpen is using the latest available firmware.
- Divider with 2 storage pockets for all of your loose-leaf notes and papers
- Perforated 8.5 inches x 11 inches dot paper, college ruled, three-hole punched
- Dark blue, red, black, and orange colored covers
- Single Subject Notebooks No. 1-4

These notebooks are reasonably priced, making it clear that Livescribe is not marketing its pen on a model similar to printers. They represent good value which makes the entire system more valuable.
In class I use this paper to record all the audio and take notes at the same time. I find that I write less notes and am able to concentrate better because I know that the audio is recording at the same time. One notebook will last you for each class. I am an upper level college student and have only ONCE used an entire notebook. I usually have 20 pages or more left over. The notebook and pen combo is useful in almost every subject, I have used this for math, english, philosophy, and sciences and find this great for every subject. Come up with your own code to make things simple. for example, when my professor mentions anything about an exam like (this may be on the test, or study this question), I put a star so that I can click on it when preparing for my test! I put question marks on areas that I don't understand so I can keep up with the rest of lecture and review later.
Personally, I've come to prefer the smaller journal sized books for use with the Livescribe, but still use the full-sized notebook from time to time.
It is, frankly, nice to have the choice of the two sizes. Make sure you are familiar with Livescribe's notebook numbering system, which is explained in their Help file.
You probably aren't looking at this unless you already have 1 - 4 unless you like the colors better, in which case I should point out you will have absolutely no problem starting with a later number--the issue is that they are unique, not sequential.
Overall, these are reasonably sturdy, and they take the ink nicely. Earlier today I was switching back and forth between the notebook and printer paper as I was marking up a printout while taking notes, and I didn't want to keep swapping pens. It surprised me how much the paper makes a difference in how smooth the ink flows from a ballpoint. I'm used to that issue in fountain pens. Writing on this paper was far nicer than on standard printer paper.
As a trick, I keep the first page blank to use for shortcut commands, the ones where you draw a line there and back again and write things like "EMAIL" or "EVERNOTE" or "LISA" (love the custom shortcuts) and it send the pages on the next sync. By dedicating one page for the purpose, I can send the pages without leaving trace of that on the page itself, and I can send to multiple people without them wondering about all the underlined names on the page. One page in this notebook is enough for me for that, and I abuse that feature.

4.5 stars because I like everything about the paper itself, but I wish there was an explanation with them about the whole "archiving" thing. Read morePublished 12 days ago by TM Conway

These go with the Livescribe Smartpen. The pages are printed with a special light blue grid so that the pen can track where on the page it is being placed.Published 24 days ago by One Tall Dan
