"I am an unschooling parent (my "children" are now 21 and 24, always unschooled), an unschooling advocate, an unschooling conference speaker/coordinator, an unschooling list owner... AND, I am also a library director. One of the first things I did when I started my library director position was to add Pam's books to my library's collection! I have been there six months and I have already handed her books to many people who have felt sad and frustrated about their options ~ they have believed that they either had to put their children in school or school them at home. The minute I begin speaking to them about unschooling, they RELAX into how wonderful and FREE their lives with their children can be! Then I send them home with the best unschooling friend one can have: Pam Laricchia (via her books!).
Pam is the most amazing unschooling wordsmith!! Her writings are clear and logical and full of JOY. You will be saying, "YES! This Makes So Much SENSE!!"
Pam's books will be the friend that you need who is there when you have questions or doubts... she holds your hand along your journey and understands your perspective and gently explains how to GET to a life of JOYFUL Learning."
