About the Author
Dr Nitu Bajekal MD, is a Senior NHS Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Women’s Health expert based in London, with over 35 years’ clinical experience. She is also one of the first board-certified Lifestyle Medicine Physicians in the UK. Dr Bajekal is also a former Training Programme Director for Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the recipient of the President of India Gold Medal for her achievements. Dr Bajekal is passionate about educating women, providing reliable medical and lifestyle information for the general public, doctors, workplaces and schools.
Rohini Bajekal MA Oxon, MSc, Dip IBLM, is a Nutritionist and Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional, now working with clients in London after spending time in the food industry in Mumbai and Singapore. She has personal experience of overcoming PCOS.

The book is divided in four main sections: 1) Understanding polycystic ovary syndrome, 2) Making informed health choices, 3) Managing PCOS - the use of lifestyle approaches and nutrition to manage the condition of PCOS, and 4) The 21-day PCOS programme with Rohini Bajekal, Nutritionist.
The writing is clear, and the authors do a fantastic job of debunking myths around PCOS and summarising main points. I also like the use of case studies, which can be found through the book. The advice that is offered is practical and sensitive, and the 21-day programme includes healthy recipes (and even a recommended shopping list!). The book concludes with helpful further resources and a glossary. Even as a doctor, I have learnt a lot and, as well as recommending to patients, will be advising colleagues to pick up a copy for their clinics too.
The passion and knowledge of Dr N Bajekal and Rohini Bajekal is inspiring and this book encourages us all to live a healthier lifestyle.
I recommend this book to not only PCOS suffers but everyone.
