I completely agree with the words of Roy Eugene Davis (direct disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda) in his foreword for this book when he says, "Themes in this book can empower you to have your attention and awareness anchored in the Infinite..." This book makes profound ancient teachings, practical and relevant for life today. It is a great support, whether you are looking for daily inspiration, or seeking spiritual enlightenment. I highly recommend this book and all of her books and CDs, especially, Living the Eternal Way.

Inspirational and Uplifting! I Want Another One For My Kindle!!!

Lovely book full of inspiring quotes. Turn to any page and feel uplifted! I just wish it was available on Kindle. I would download another one in a heartbeat! Thankfully it is just small enough to fit in my big purse so I can still take it with me. :)

I have 3 copies of this book - one in my meditation room, one at my bedside and one on my desk. I have been so inspired by the gifts in this book that I've also gifted it to my friends. Whether you read it from cover to cover or pick a page randomly - it will awaken something in you, cause your energy to stir and leave you wanting more. Simply brilliant.

Inspiration For Your Life

I have found that these sayings, inspire me every day. Ellen Grace O'Brian shares wise inspiration based on the ancient teachings of Yoga that is practical for our life today. I often just randomly open the book and read an inspiration that invites me to contemplate my spiritual journey and offers me support for the positive movement of my life. Almost always, when I pick up the book, I feel that what I am reading was written just for me and is just what I need for that day. I have purchased several of these books as gifts.

This morning as I randomly opened this book, I found a reading about letting go. The wisdom of it held me in an embrace of freedom. As close as I can come to describe how Living for the Sake of the Soul supports me, I would say it is as if divine mother was counseling me with rich and useful daily reminders of what being human is really meant to be. It is a joy. This is a gift I can give to everyone over the Holy Days of winter. Thank you to Ellen Grace O'Brian and all who made this book possible.
