I found the book to be a valuable addition (besides Gods Word) to my daily personal time with the Lord this past month. While, as a Christian and pastor for many years now, I have been aware of the eight truths Joel presents, I have found Joel’s book great for renewing and building my pursuit of these areas. The first truth, on the fact that God is in control, has been encouraging to me in these Covid 19 and social turmoil days. I’ve also particularly appreciated the chapters on getting rest and taking care of the body the Lord has entrusted to us.
I will be adding this to the resources I give out and recommend to disciples and disciple makers in our church. It’s a great book for both babes in the Lord and mature believers.
In this book, Joel draws together all of the spiritual elements that make his practical books work!
Whether you are a brand new Christian or a seasoned believer (years like me), you will gain encouragement, conviction and spiritual insight as you read these well-crafted stories, Bible teaching and insights. I enjoyed reading this book. The real difference will be in the application, As Comiskey says, “As you apply the truths in this book, you’ll stay strong during the journey as you move toward the final victory.”(Page 150)
Grab your highlighter as you read LIVING IN VICTORY because you will find valuable insights for your life and actions to take. I did and highly recommend this book.

An eye opener on how to depend on God’s grace. This book is full of practical steps on how to engage scriptural principles today to affect future outcomes.
In the chapters we are reminded that True Victory, the kind that God honours comes from spending time daily in Gods presence. The further you read the book, the deeper it becomes.
In addition to the practical and logical researcher that Joel Comiskey is known for; in this book you can really fellowship with the heart of a genuine child of God, a minister of the gospel who calls the saints to enjoy deep intimacy with God through the quiet time. The value of a solid foundation.
Victory starts with God.
He demonstrates clear practical steps on how to observe and maximize the quiet time as well as providing encouraging counsel for starters.
This book is good for all, be you a young believer or an adult Christian.
It offers godly counsel that guarantees Victory for every aspect of Life.
By the time I finished Chapter One, I felt Joel Comiskey had taken me by the hand to walk me through a countryside of seasoned principles. I felt comfortable starting off on the journey with him as his comments were quite convincing, his rationale correct, and his worldview strong. The comfortable walk seemed familiar and there was a freshness in his views that held my attention through the remaining chapters.
By the conclusion of this higly enjoyable encounter, I was refreshed and renewed, invigorated actually, and reinspired to seek and experience God's victory in my everyday life. Thank you Dr. Comiskey, for helping me enjoy the scenery along the way as you pointed out milestones and panoramas that will aid me in walking with Jesus and others.
