About the Author
<DIV>WAYNE DYER Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, affectionately called the "father of motivation" by his fans, is one of the most widely known and respected people in the field of self-empowerment. He became a well-known author with his bestselling book, Your Erroneous Zones, and has gone on to write many other self-help classics. Despite his childhood spent in orphanages and foster homes, Dr. Dyer, who has a doctorate in counseling psychotherapy, has overcome many obstacles to make his dreams come true. Today he spends much of his time showing others how to do the same. When he's not traveling the globe delivering his uplifting message, Wayne is writing from his home in Maui, Hawaii. DEEPAK CHOPRA Deepak Chopra has written more than twenty-five books, which have been translated into thirty-five languages. He is also the author of more than one hundred audio- and videotape series, including five critically acclaimed programs on public television. In 1999 Time magazine selected Dr. Chopra as one of the Top 100 Icons and Heroes of the Century, describing him as "the poet-prophet of alternative medicine." Dr. Chopra currently serves as CEO and founder of The Chopra Center for Well Being in La Jolla, California. </div>
A recording of a spontaneous 1996 lecture by the two authors, this short recording captures a small part of the wisdom these two spiritual teachers have amassed over the years. Using examples from medicine, society, and the animal world, they speak about the interconnectedness of people and how conscious thoughts shared by many can have a powerful impact on our leaders and our society. Though the recording is crude, the weightiness and universality of these ideas carry the lesson into the deepest reaches of our awareness. It's a worthy addition, along with virtually everything these authors record individually and together, to anyone's library of inspirational and transformational audios. Having searched for a long time through Hindu and Buddhist sects to find a meditation technique that is simple and effective, this is by far the best. My recommendation is to buy this tape and the book "Science of Being and Art of Living" by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. If it is good enough for and explains all the success of the authors, then it is good enough for the rest of us. The only thing I can't understand is why they don't tell us about it directly, unless of course it remains the "secret" to their success. Either way, you will see for yourself that this is the closest they come to saying it without using the words to spell it out, i.e. "20 minutes in the morning and night", "vedic (aka Yogic) flying", etc. If you are looking to tap into your divine nature, then TM is the easiest way. Best of luck. God Bless.
