How it got cooked at our place: She split the shells long ways with Kitchen scissors then boiled the lobster tails & meat in a 3" deep large fry pan. Added sea salt, lemon pepper, half bottle of white Reisling. Bring to boil, simmer 5 solid minutes (with glass lid on). The shells turn a gorgeous bright orange hue. Actual meal included on the side: Large side of fresh Tabouli , an avo slice and a blended Margherita. Dip the lobster meat in melted butter with chopped garlic. Sumptuous meal. She had never cooked Lobster herself before, it worked out pretty well. And we didn't have to drive anywhere! 7th heaven experience. Based on how blissful she looked eating this, I may buy this again for a birthday occasion.
P.S. When we checked all the ways you can cook lobster: You can boil, broil, steam, bake or BBQ (yes) Lobster. Steaming is supposedly the blandest form of cooking lobster. Boil turned out to be our least hassle method. YMMV.
PS- I paid $7.19 each on sale; $14 for very good tasting lobster is a very good deal, but at $10 each it still would have been a good deal.
