I live with my boyfriend and his brother, and though my boyfriend and I shop and eat together, his brother will occasionally (as in, at least once a week) eat stuff that we buy. I have a real problem with this simply because I am disabled and my income is severely limited. My boyfriend recommended I buy the Fridge Locker, so I did, and it works! My peanut butter has lasted almost a month, and all my goodies are mine again. No more worries. This thing is sturdy and someone could break into it, but it would take a lot of effort. I got one for the pantry and I am getting another two, one for the fridge, and one for my medications (for when I travel). One piece of advice-pick your lock numbers at random. The combination is only 3 numbers, so if you pick your birthday or something easy like that, people might be able to guess it and steal your stash.

Living with roommates has its anticipated drawbacks (sharing bathrooms, scheduling showers, enforcing cleanup duties), but maybe the worst downside of all is one that I did not foresee...Roommates stealing my food! I tried labeling food with my name, leaving threatening post-it note messages, even hiding my snacks but nothing worked! My protein bars and yogurts would still keep disappearing. After seeing this on Ellen, I thought the Fridge Locker would be the perfect way to send a message to my thieving roommates who still won't come clean! Now all my snacks are safe, and my roommates can be reminded of their shameful ways every time they open the fridge! :) I've already recouped my money in the food I didn't have to re-buy.

And to those saying the connector tabs are hard to snap in, you have to use the included push plate for leverage and they snap right in, snug and tight. Besides, if it was too easy to assemble, it wouldn't have the strength to hold up that grizzly bear!!

I purchased 2 of these lockers because I have a special needs child who tends to raid the fridge and freezer in the middle of the night and this gem has been a life saver. It is very sturdy and directions for assembly were easy. My child has tried just about everything possible to open it and been unsuccessful which is wonderful. Definitely would recommend to anyone who has food (or anything else) raiders, it really works.

I was hesitant to try this because of the negative reviews that said the lock is faulty or that the item is cheaply made. I actually had to purchase mine on eBay for a higher price because they are present;y on back order everywhere you go, even the manufacturer's site. Anyway, mine went together in a snap. Didn't even have to read the directions. The people who said they couldn't assemble it must not be too good with puzzles either because this is pretty simple to do and I am half blind. The lock on mine functions as it should and I have had no issues with it mysteriously resetting or changing it's combo by itself. To test its sturdiness I have banged it, dropped it and done everything short of jump on top of it from a running leap. No breaks, no chips, and the lock held tight and reopened correctly. I have been unable to simply pull the latch apart. Now here comes the best part...I have a son who is a mastermind at getting into things. I once put a lock on my bedroom door and locked myself in the room before I went to bed. The next morning I woke to him standing over me, shaking me to ask me if we had any canned milk. I put the fridge locker in the fridge and saw him examine it quietly. I heard the fridge open and shut a few times during the night. But when I woke up, my pudding and my juice was still there. Need I say any more?

When I had bought this product, I was so excited to keep my roommate's hands out of my food. Unfortunately, I put it together and it wouldn't close. The manufacturer put the lock on backwards. I tried a couple of months to get an answer from them. I never got a single reply. I don't believe the company puts the customer first at all.

Great little box to keep daddy/siblings from stealing the kid's candy. Would be great for a shared dorm room fridge. The plastic is brittle so be careful with the installation. I broke a pin on the door trying to snap the last panel in place but fixed it with a screw.

I was so freaken excited for this. I thought it was n is the best freaken idea ever. I work at a prison facility so lunches n boxes must be see through. N its a cage made of plastic. A winner. Its big enough to fit a good amount of food. A 20 oz drink will fit in there. I think the dimensions are like, 12 in. Long- 6 in. High, and 6 in wide. Of course the plastic part had me skeptical due to durability. It is its durible. Just be careful when assembling.Yes. u must assemble. Becarful when assembling cuz u might twist one of the prong parts. Im gunna call it prong. U might turn it wrong n break it. Cuz i did that. Dont be scared though, cuz it doesnt mess up the assembly. There are so many part to secure n clips to fasten it tight one broken prong aint gunna hurt it.
BUT.. . Due take WARNING
WARNING WARNING WARNING...
DO NOT PUT UR FAITH IN THE COMBINATION LOCK.
IT WILL NOT WORK. TRUST ME.
I read a few reviews myself n thought maybe i could get it to work or their just doing it wrong. No.. what it has to do with is the making of lock.
I put the box together n set the lock. It did not work. I was locked out of my box before i even used it.
What the point in the box if the combination dont work. Well...someone had put on review that they took the lock off n just put one of there own.
Yes. Before u even assemble. With a screw driver pop the combination. Youll come to discover the parts are made of plastic, even the dial numbers n they break easily. Everything else is fine to be plastic but the combination lock should not. Even the latch pop it off with a screw driver. Careful in doing it too hard though u dont want to break the box. Small force on one side n then the other back n forth wiggle it out n soon ull just have a plastic cage box. Buy ur own lock. Cant wait for the boys to get a look at my lunch that they cant eat.
