BUT.. . Due take WARNING
WARNING WARNING WARNING...
DO NOT PUT UR FAITH IN THE COMBINATION LOCK.
IT WILL NOT WORK. TRUST ME.
I read a few reviews myself n thought maybe i could get it to work or their just doing it wrong. No.. what it has to do with is the making of lock.
I put the box together n set the lock. It did not work. I was locked out of my box before i even used it.
What the point in the box if the combination dont work. Well...someone had put on review that they took the lock off n just put one of there own.
Yes. Before u even assemble. With a screw driver pop the combination. Youll come to discover the parts are made of plastic, even the dial numbers n they break easily. Everything else is fine to be plastic but the combination lock should not. Even the latch pop it off with a screw driver. Careful in doing it too hard though u dont want to break the box. Small force on one side n then the other back n forth wiggle it out n soon ull just have a plastic cage box. Buy ur own lock. Cant wait for the boys to get a look at my lunch that they cant eat.
It broke on the first day. It's very small. Think shoebox size. It has slats that fingers can fit through and pull small objects out.
The lock itself is heavy duty, while the plastic is flimsy and breakable.
I still use it, using a bottle opener to pry the door hinge pins out of their holes. As long as the othets don't know, this method achieves the purpose. Sshhhh!
I gave this three stars because it is extremely hard to put together. Not only did two of the tabs break off, but you literally need a hammer to get the pins in which is the final step. Unless you are The Hulk, you won't be able to just "use your thumbs" as the instructions indicate. The instructions are also incredibly vague so be sure whoever is putting it together is good at figuring things out on their own!
I'll admit that I got passive agressive and stuffed it with "good stuff" at first, but now I share with a couple of fellow employees for security.
Where it lacks is that it is actually made out of plastic and is simply put together with a basic click in type of system.
The problem with this type of system is that if somebody really wants to access your food or contents they can pretty easily just break the other walls open which has happened in my case.
It would be much better if it were made out of metal or something more sturdy.
