▲ The trick is to SHAKE VERY WELL BEFORE USING. I had only shaken the product somewhat--obviously not well enough.
▲ To be fair, the instructions do indeed say, "Shake well before use." However, this appears to be a very critical step, so I think it should be emphasized on the packaging.

Loctite Blue is the perfect product to make sure that there is a no slip connection between bolts and their receivers, and it is outstanding for use with firearms as the stuff withstands the beating and vibration without a second thought. A little goes a long way, so use sparingly.
At the range two days ago, I found two set screws laying on the range floor of my lane and they were identical to the screws used to secure my AR quad rail... not a speck of a sign of Loctite Blue was on them, and I'll bet that somebody out there is not at all happy with the loose condition of their rail right now. Not gonna happen to my rigs.
If you have a need similar to what I described above, get this stuff -- you will not regret it. Highly recommended.

Loctite is the best way to keep loose screws tight. A kitchen drawer handle screw could not be tightened, and finding a matching replacement was impossible. Read morePublished 2 days ago by Bud Mckechnie
I frequently use Locite Blue 242 to secure my pistol sights. Locite is not a permanent seal. You can redo if you need to. It holds well. Read morePublished 5 days ago by Smiley42
