Top Customer Reviews
They call it an adhesive calk and that is what it is. It sticks to almost anything and when dry is tuff and resistant to almost everything. Still wet it can be tooled or smoothed with a finger and clean hands or tools with soap an water. Smears wipe off with a wet rag if gotten quickly. Goes on milky white and dries clear. Can be painted when dry.
Don't put it anywhere you want to get it off easily. Unlike silicon calks it will not break loose as the pieces it is on move with wind or temperature changes. Because of that it is much better for outdoor use where exposed to wind and temperature changes along with rain. This will stay attached until you want it off. It has a 50 year warrantee.
Silicon may last 50 years, but especially on smooth surfaces it will not stay adhered to where it is applied outside for more than a few years at best. Recently had to replace silicon calk applied by a so called professional to the glass aluminum junction on the outside of a window that sealed for only 3-4 years. A real professional would have put the window pane in right so it was sealed where it was supposed to be or at least known better than to use silicon in that spot. Silicon calk was still good but it leaked like a sieve. taking it off was easy. Get ahold of it pull it off in long strips. Very easy, because it was no longer adhered to either side, just wedged between and hanging there. Now I doubt I will ever see it leak again which is what I wanted the first time.
The downside with this product is if you want it off you will need to cut it and scrape it off. But if you want it to stay it will probably still be firmly attached 50 years from now. When I put on calk I am usually not worried about how it is going to come off. I don't want it to and if replacement becomes necessary being nice about the removal is usually not needed.
If you want to calk it once and forget it this is the stuff.
